Pretty good and definitely worth a try if you haven't played it yet.

I don't think it's necessarily bad, I think it's overrated. Definitely not between Celeste and Deep Rock Galactic.
The main issue I have with it is that it becomes rather cumbersome to deal with repeated inputs and handling large stacks. (I guess that's one of the reasons Cultist Simulator has a lot of auto filling inputs.)

The business model is a rather predatory "pay to progress" scheme. Please don't give in. Vote with your wallet against that BS.

Broken mods no longer crash the game. This nudges it from a thumbs down to a pretty strong recommendation from me.

Great, albeit sometimes a bit lengthy story. Combat system of medium complexity.

Most importantly, the developers are treating the players with respect.

It's a trip. A trip I can highly recommend.
It's really focused on exploring the protagonist's psyche. If you expect a lot of storys, I'd advise against playing the game. There are segments that feel slow, which may feel annoying with the expectation of a gameplay focused experience, but I quite liked those segments. You can compare those parts with long atmospheric shots in movies. They can be very effective, but not everyone likes them.
Also a nice reversal on the damsel in distress: the female hero going to save her prince.

It's defietely worth checking out Planetside 2.

The main thing that carries this game is its concept. The battles really are epic at times. Working together in a platoon to acchieve victory for your empire is one of the most satisfying experiences I had in gaming.

Its execution is mediocre, however. The graphics are dated. Map flow has some major issues. The new player experience sucks.

For me this is a relaxing yet very interesting game. The absence of danger means you can chill it together with the very friendly community and focus on gathering and building. Be prepared to spend a large portion of your time in game, if you want to play a significant role on a server, though.

A true classic! It's a great example of an ingenious design idea that was executed with great care and attention to detail. The gameplay and even the graphics are ageless. If you haven't played it yet: do it!
