I really do enjoy the games concept but unfortunately until the game software is fixed, it's not-playable. The game crashes within 45 minutes into gameplay every single time it's running. I've tried numerous troubleshooting methods, but everything seems to be drawing back to it being the game. Also, where are all them aquatic animals in the aquatic expansion pack? So few animals for such expensive DLC...Sigh. I will happily update my review when the game is fixed, because I did enjoy the game when it was working.

Oh yay a new DLC, yet they still neglect pre-existing issues with the optimization of this >160GB game (yes, you read that right. 60GB for just the vanilla base game. Additional DLC and 5GB updates every couple days).
I'm loving this new FATAL ERROR bug upon game start up, myself and countless others (going off of the ARK forum this bug has been going on for days) are having this error after ARK's release of aberration. I did get to enjoy the DLC for all of 1, maybe 2 hours and then the game crashed. Despite all diagnostics (PC is completely fine) run by myself and many others ARK customers on their PC's, it is obvious this fatal error is on ARK's end.

I have been a Ark fan since its pre-release and was forgiving of the bugs until it became apparent that the bugs that are continuously brought to light (beyond crummy optimization, multi-player teather disntance, multi-player bugs, non-dedicated server bugs, did I mention absolute trash optimization?) to the developers and the choose to flood this game with more content instead of fixing the original problems to make this game run better, or at least make it playable.
I would love to give a positive review based on the concept of this game being very unique and one of a kind. I love the concept of this game, and especially this wicked DLC, but how can one enjoy the new dlc IF THE GAME DOES NOT WORK.

OH and what is with having to pay a monthly subscription to host your own server? . I'm not one to complain about game pricing, I paid for this game and have no issue paying for DLC when it comes out but to charge your customers not only for the game itself (that consistantley has errors, crashes, bugs and can't run), BUT in order to host their own private server on the game they've already purchased they have to pay you to play the game they've already purchased from you. Big thumbs down.

I really hope to be able to come back and make this a positive review one day. I truly do. It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review, but this game could be a diamond in the rough if the developers can receive their customers feedback and builf Ark on that. It could truly be an amazing game, just isn't that yet.

I cannot recommend this game enough. It takes a lot for a game to consume me as I am particular and critical about the games I invest my hours into. And this game had me hooked within the first hour of playing it. I have not completed the game yet with 36 hours into it so far but I am in love with the story line, the freedom of which you choose where to go in this game and the options for character choice in which change your games outcome entirely.
The combat is impressive though sometimes a little delayed ( I contribute that to my computer) though it is easily overlooked. Character progression is another attribute that really hooks you into the game as well as the story.
Highly highly recommend this game to anyone into realistic RP adventure or just wants a good game to become consumed by.

After several hours of playing this game I can already tell you it's going to be one of my favourites. Gameplay itself however would be much more enjoyable if the game was controller compatible as large swarm fights can get confusing when trying to move the mouse around in time to find the enemy while being attacked from several directions. Aside from that I definetley recommend this game to friends!
