This was an absolutely delightful game! Bravo, team. It was charming, fun to play, and even had very achievable achievements. I 100% the game in ~2 hours, but if you didn't care about that it would be a really quick playthrough. Fun for anyone! Who hasn't wanted to (accidentally?) eat some of their coworkers?

I really wanted to like this game...building games are one of my favorite genres, but I am having so much trouble getting into this one. I think part of it is definitely the color palette...it hurts my eyes to play it, unfortunately. Another part is that it's just a little difficult to build things. The walls are only half, which is a little odd, and there isn't a ton of variety in the objects, so I couldn't build some things the way I had envisioned. Bummer. Lot of other folks seem to like it though.

Also, for a game that claims "No objectives" this is a ridiculous grind to unlock all of the items to even play with them all. There is absolutely NO NEED for this to be that grindy, especially when it seems anti- the intent of the game. For instance, at this time (8.5 hours of grinding in), I have 170 gourdlets in my town and I still only have 9/14 unlockable items. It's ridiculous.

What a sweet game! I can highly recommend this to anyone who likes a chill, puzzle game with a simple story, fun cast of characters, cute art style and nice music. It was an easy, but substantial playthrough. They did a nice job of slowly ramping up the mechanics for interacting with the world and even the few times I got stuck on a puzzle (to my credit, often trying to do what was ultimately the right thing, but not quite in the right way enough usually) I was able to figure out the correct solution for myself after a bit. I think this is a nice game for folks who are really into puzzles (like myself) and also folks who are casually into puzzles because nothing is trying to trick you or be sneaky! It also does a lovely job with the achievements (Kudos to you, developers!) and allows you a detailed chapter select after you've beaten the game, which helps you to hop back in right where you need to be to chase down any that you missed if you're interested in getting them all. WELL DONE!!

Let me start by saying that I really like the idea of the multiplayer version of this game! I can see how it's a really fun puzzle platformer and it's basically built for co-op (honestly, I wish they had focused on the co-op side of it and scrapped the single player...it just makes sense)

The reason I can't recommend this game is because it is *incredibly* buggy. Trying to play through it with my friend was so frustrating—especially when we were going for the time trials, which we eventually gave up on due to the immense amount of glitching that made it nearly impossible to complete the levels in the tight time window required.

If the buggieness and glitches were fixed, I'd be so happy to recommend this game! But as it stands currently, it just makes the playthrough incredibly frustrating. So disappointing!

I really wanted to like this game! It's a very cute idea, and I am always down for a management sim. Unfortunately, (1) the controls are very clunky. You can only carry one ingredient/baked good/tool at a time, (and sometimes it's a little challenging to get it to interact correctly!) and you have to put it down somewhere (on a very limited amount of surfaces, mind) to interact with anything else. This also means that it's difficult to get ahead of the orders for the day/lunch rush because there isn't anywhere to stock up (enough) during the prep phase, and it takes too long to run everything between three rooms one object at a time. (2) It has a short little intro mode, and introduces you to an upgrade tree that has an affordable option, but then it immediately makes a HUGE jump in price. When you're pulling in ~30 money a day and the second upgrade (out of 5 levels) is over 100, it's really demoralizing and feels like you're just going to have to grind for so many days just to get ONE thing, and it's not really clear how helpful that is going to even be after all that effort. I'm so sad to report that the way it shakes out makes the gameplay feel like a chore and not an enjoyable time. It would flow better if the upgrades were more easily achievable at smaller price increments.

All that said, congrats to the solo gamedev for releasing a finished game; that's a lot of effort and an achievement in itself. This just feels like it still needs to be refined a bit, but with some tweaks, I think it could become the fun game that I had hoped I was signing up for.

This is a delightful puzzle-platformer! It's got a unique theme and the visuals are really nice. The story is also cute and the achievements are good (and very achievable! Thank you, developers!)

These are my two notes:
1) Sometimes the color wheel interactivity was finicky. There were times where I saw the the color I wanted appeared selected, but when I let go it selected an adjacent color instead...at some points when it really mattered. Fortunately none of the levels are so long that it's a huge deal to start over, but it happened quite a few times and was a bit annoying to go all the way back when I had done the right thing.
2) The long levels whose only purpose is to keep the player engaged during the "cutscene" voiceover sections were fine when the audio was playing the first time through, but very annoying when going back through to collect the missing beakers. It would be nice if these were passable when going back (and this applies to the "gain a color" rooms as well, though they're much shorter.) For example, in the color rooms you could open up a path through the bottom of the mountain so that we could just run straight across instead of going all the way up and down again. It's a little thing, but it's a note!

Overall well done, developers! This was mostly very fun to play. I'd recommend it to folks who enjoy puzzle platformers and it's a great time for folks who like a simple game as far as controls go: just move, jump, and colors!

I really wanted to like this game, and I do think that it has a lot of potential! In its current state, I can't recommend it though. My biggest gripes with it are that (1) the game is EXTREMELY buggy, (2) the UI is unclear, (3) the controls are not intuitive and are challenging to achieve what you're intending to do, (4) the onboarding isn't great [a very specific example here: well after 4 dogs with diseases came into my shelter and I had to figure out how to treat them on my own did the tutorial on how to deal with diseases trigger. An easy fix: no dogs with diseases should be able to spawn before you do the tutorial!], and (5) there are just way too many tasks and not even close to enough time to make a dent. (And this coming from someone who plays and loves a lot of resource management type games.) I think that this could be a really fun game, but I think it still needs a lot of work. Kudos to the team for getting this far though and bonus for donating to charity to help real-life dogs. I write this today, on the 2 year anniversary of my girl's gotcha day. <3 Adopt!

This is a delightful co-op game! The scenery graphics are truly stunning (though sometimes it is hard to tell what is something I can stand on in the world and what is background!!) and the gameplay is fun and challenging! It's an 'easy' (in terms of playability) game that keeps you moving forward, so it's a good match for both competitive and casual players alike. The bonus levels provide additional challenge! I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys co-op games and/or puzzle platformers.

Early Access Review
What a pleasant tile-placement game! It's very simple and easy to learn (via a sweet tutorial!) and has delightful amounts of replayability--escpecially since your reward goals change from game to game. It's so nice to get swept up in this cute little world over and over again. Lovely game!

Absolutely recommend. What a well done game! I am so pleased to say that this game also has a WONDERFUL onboarding tutorial (which is lacking in so many games!) so I was absolutely delighted right from the get-go. There are always many different elements in building games like this, and it can be overwhelming at the start, but they do a great job of breaking it down and showing you the important things that you need to know to build a successful colony! This game is a charming city(/planet?)-builder that you will easily play for hours. The graphics are cute, and it's so fun to play! My only complaint is that the roads take up so much space, haha. NEED MORE ROOM TO BUILD THINGS. Maybe bigger planets. ;) That's all part of the challenge, though, and I will be playing this for many more hours to come!
