Darktide takes the lessons learned from Vermintide and turns it up to 11. While the game may not have all the promised weapons, features, or variety of characters, the core game play of combat is fulfilling and rewarding, especially for veteran players.
The combat dance of gunning or psyker long range shifting into dirty frantic melee combat as the horde hits you like an ocean wave is fun when you get into the mindset of your class.
Each class has their own responses to all the challenges thrown at you in combat, and again while not all the weapons are still in the game, the subtle differences between a high damage lasgun as it lights up the corridor versus the bolter's crowd clearing capabilities or the slower combat axe versus the fast as lightning tactical axe allows every player to find a playstyle to fit their character. The addition of the toughness bar to counteract the wave of ranged patrols that always spawn, makes for a compelling reason to try to stick together when possible on higher difficulties although it is tough for some players to learn this lesson the hard way. Love the game in the state it is, and with new fixes and features being added, it only builds on an already incredibly strong foundation not only in the gameplay loop but in the love and dedication to the universe and source material.

TLDR: While still not feature complete the core gameplay loop is super rewarding while not being too difficult to play.

Best 3$ I've ever spent, game is totally addictive for all the right reasons. My only concern was how much time had passed before I realized what time it was.

Cute fun game, really built for controllers though. I played it quite a bit originally on XBOX360, but glad to see it make it over to Steam. Join in, kill some chibis, and break open their castle!

A fun Co-operative FPS game where you fight cops, SWAT teams, and snipers for that sweet sweet money pay day. It is a great game that demands co-operation, the enemies can and will fight back, customization of your own weapons and masks (yes there is an anime mask and anonymous mask), and open options.
You and whoever else you find, can always choose to go sneaky and quiet or go loud and shoot anything that stands in your way.
Updates are regularly released and new features and weapons are always finding their way into the game. Would recommend on sale.
