Funny but that's about it.

This "game" takes the idea of robots not understanding how jobs work and tries to make that last for a few hours and that's about it. While it can be fun to mess around in VR work spaces, you'll quickly find that everything is quite shallow and the actual missions are little more than an endless tutorial, walking you through each step of each process until you're done.

There are only four jobs which can each be easily completed in about half an hour, if you're taking your time, but I was tired of it after finishing two of them and have no intention of going back. I can see this being impressive when VR was new but now there are far better experiences with significantly more depth. Just pass on this.

Still a great game but it is starting to get bogged down in its own lore. Folks who play the base game and the two DLCs back to back won't have too much trouble but for those of us who have played these entries as they came out, it's becoming increasingly difficult to remember the myriad different names and cultures and rules.

I still recommend The Lemurian Vampire but I'm glad that this is intended as the final DLC and, if Color Gray continues with this format, I hope to see a fresh start going forward.

Fun and short co-op puzzler. If you enjoyed the We Were Here games, this is a bite-sized version of those, offering up three challenges linked together with a pirate amusement park theme. The cutscenes are somewhat excessive at times but this is still easily playable in a few hours. If this is a sign of things to come from this series, bite-sized co-op adventures somewhat more often than previous games, I am all for it.

Return of the Obra Dinn is one of the best mystery detective games on the market. The concept is simple. A ship returns to port with everyone either missing or dead. You are able to travel the ship viewing the moment of death for any bodies still aboard. Using this information, determine the cause of death for everyone on board.

It's simple to understand but gloriously difficult in practice. Many of the crew are fairly simple to determine and most people will be able to discover the story of the Obra Dinn with some effort. To reach the full ending and 100% the game though will require significant out of the box thinking, amazing observation skills, and utilization of logical connections.

Rarely has a game been so satisfying to complete and even 6 years later, few games have even come close to matching this experience. If you enjoy a mystery that doesn't hold your hand, you cannot do better than Obra Dinn.

A great game but one that suffers from quite a few technical issues, many of which can be game breaking, so be careful. The game itself is worthy of all the high reviews it got back when it came out on the PS5 and if you've liked Ratchet and Clank games in the past, you know what to expect here. Just a really high quality entry in that series.

While I don't think the bugs should keep you from playing this if you really want, it is worth noting that while playing on my Windows 11 machine with a 3080 (and yes, an SSD), the game full crashed about 3 times, had numerous bugs like notifications that wouldn't go away, audio that doesn't play correctly, and many of these things have still not been fixed as of 7/31/23. The game also runs surprisingly slowly when ray tracing is enabled at all, despite most other games doing fine on the 3080.

Fortunately the checkpoint system has been solid so I've never lost more than a couple minutes of progress but it is annoying to have to restart whether due to crashes or bugs. If you're okay putting up with those issues, the game itself is fantastic and well worth your time. Fingers crossed the game gets patched soon to fix the remaining problems.

The object connection system had some flaws, for sure, but the story here is so beyond amazing that I can't help but recommend it. The acting is such a mind-blowing accomplishment that I'm still thinking about it nearly a year after playing. If you enjoy twisty stories with some real depth, Immortality is it.

Scary but not too scary. It helps to know that the scares are mostly there to pace out the plot for you. They don't actually do anything to hurt you beyond just some minor jump scares. The gameplay is interesting for a few hours and the story is pretty solid, if not entirely unique. I enjoyed it and for the price of admission, it was a good way to spend a horror filled day.

A flawed but still very enjoyable retro shooter. The RPG elements and level/enemy variety are a ton of fun and levels are interestingly designed. Having different sets of levels broken up with trips back to your upgrade warehouse helps keep the game feeling bite-sized and quick. The lack of mid-level saves can be rough at times but it keeps things feeling tense and the standard difficulty was easy enough that it only really served to amp up the tension and keep the pace up for me at least. I could see this being painful if you play on the hardest difficulties. There is a lives feature but I'm honestly not sure what happens if you run out of lives since that never happened to me. Lives are plentiful so I wound up ending the game with about 15.

The engine is the main thing I had an issue with here. Bugs were fairly plentiful and it brought down the experience somewhat. Environmental hit boxes are massive, often resulting in you shooting the environment even when there is very clearly nothing between your gun and the enemy you're shooting at. Fortunately, blood effects usually make it clear this is happening before you waste too much ammo but it's still frustrating to waste shots hitting nothing when you aren't even close to the wall. The other issue I had is that walls don't seem to exist for the enemies. They get stuck on environmental objects but if their AI tells them to walk towards you and attack, walls don't seem to stop them. This often results in enemies just phasing directly through a wall at you, immediately firing, even though you should have been safe. I had this happen a number of times where there weren't any enemies around me and then suddenly a large demon just walks through the wall I'm staring directly at and fires relentlessly. The standard difficulty isn't very hard so these issues were relatively minor in my playthrough but if you're new to retro shooters or if you're playing Hardcore mode, these things would be immensely frustrating.

If you like games like Dusk, Forgive Me Father, Amid Evil or other retro shooters, Project Warlock is going to scratch that itch and the added RPG elements are a great addition. Still, the engine could have used some more time in the oven and I hope Project Warlock 2 resolves these problems.

Simple yet amazingly deep. 30 hours in and I'm still unlocking new things, discovering new enemies, playing new levels... Still haven't found a vampire though.

Great levels they are just giving you for free. The garden level is extremely clever and the trophy room is just a joy for a fan to play through. Download this right away. Why not?
