Why? Two reasons. One we've just discussed. The other is that I'd like the game (and other games I play, this is but one) to be more female-friendly. Adding more female characters that women would want to play is a step in that direction. So I'm not just saying that there are fewer than there are female players, but also that there are fewer than optimum for the result I'd like to see.
And as I pointed out, this is all MHO. You're free to disagree. You're free to express your opinion and quote whatever statistics you like. Even ass-pull statistics, if that's how you want to play it.
But you don't get to tell me to STFU because you think I'm wrong.
