power shut off while i was farming co op at the start of the game, really annoying but ok whatever I was playing a mage

but just now power went off in my building and again, corrupted save right after beating the boss in the burning village, i understand these are different games and engines, BUT NEVER had the same issue with any other soulslike

dont buy it, youre playing on borrowed time

We are sorry to hear that you’ve lost level progression, either through corrupted saves or due to the co-op related issue in v.1.1.215, please know we are working diligently on a solution for you.

We're setting up a team you can send your corrupted saves/downgraded characters to, which will respond by providing your saves with the required vigor to restore characters up to the level they were before the glitch.

Those affected by the corrupted save file, please follow the steps below:

Create your new character

Send your new character save*, the name of that character, and the level you need restored, to [email protected].

We’ll send you back your save, with enough vigor skulls to reach the same level. You will need to restart your playthrough, but should be able to restore your progress very quickly with your high-level character.

*Your character saves are located at %USERPROFILE%/AppData/Local/LOTF2/Saved/SaveGames

My brother in christ, I know a file will get corrupted if the game is closed, but neither times the game was showing it was saving

that's why i put other soulslike as an example, I have a sad amount of hours playing those, experienced several crashes and NEVER had that occur to me

There's a reason every single game has the warning, "save in progress, please don't power off your device." Save corruption happens when ANY game is immediately cut off while saving.

Sounds like the fault of external factors than the game itself. It was just unfortunate that the power outage happened right as you were saving.
