First of all. This game has all these negative votes on it MAINLY beacuse of the frame drop / freezing issue that people are having.
Game itself is fun.
Now Obviously since its a hunting action game, it is inevitable to compare this game to monster hunter series.
In short Wild Hearts is in every way possible inferior to monster hunter.

Graphics? worse.
Environment? worse. There is a lot less collectable things.
Interactions between mobs in nature? barely there. So far I've only seen one kemono to kemono fight, I believe it exist, but barely.
It is a bit more casual seeing how generous the I-frame is on dodges, but just overall not as good as monster hunters.
It is still fun and it does add a bit of flavor with build structures that helps you in fight in many different ways.
I think this is a good purchase if it was around 30-40 dollar game.
I haven't finished the game yet so I can't say it lacks content for 70 dollar game but so far It definitely does not look like a 70 dollar full price game.

If it is on a sale or if the price went down by the time you read this, then it would be a fine purchase.
