The first "Binding of Isaac" came out in 2011. It was pretty incredible. Full of content, excellent gameplay, and enough replayability to keep you just coming back hour after hour.

A year later, the "Wrath of the Lamb" expansion to keep you coming back for even more hours.

A couple years later, and the whole thing is recreated by a new team as "Rebirth". With more features, a new engine, a new look, and new music. The look... you get used to it. The music... not as good as the original, but still pretty enjoyable. Everything else... they nailed it. Then an expansion to that, "Afterbirth", and it adds more content all over again.

Five years after the original, and Isaac is still going strong. "Afterbirth Plus" is slated to come in at the end of 2016 with a little new content and support for User Mods, so we can expect the game to be something to revisit time after time and offer a whole new experience.

Even when you beat your head against this game it'll lure you back in. You know you'll do better next time.

It'll just take a little bit of luck.
