You don't max out what this game has to offer for a long time, and the "work" you have to do to unlock new stuff is truly fun in its own right; it rarely feels like a grind, there's just a LOT OF GAME here.

This is the FPS roguelite I've been looking for, with unlocks that make the game more exciting, enough challenge to make completing a run a worthwhile accomplishment, and just genuinely satisfying gunplay and movement.

I really don't like the Redneck part, it's irritating at best and sometimes actually offensive, but if you turn off voiceover and subtitles you can ignore that and then the game is great. If this game had a good approach to character and storytelling it would be downright incredible.

If you don't like Early Access games that are still rough around the edges, wishlist this game and wait a while, but come back for it!

Shows some really exciting concepts to build on what games like Slay the Spire and others have introduced, keeping the best bits from those games but adding some really cool ways to differentiate itself as well. Semi-realtime card-based roguelike dungeon crawling? Yes please.

Buggy (not drastically, just clear-still-in-dev buggy), and not a huge fan of the cliche busty anime women, but I'm willing to overlook it since at least there isn't any exploitative dialogue or suggestive stuff.

Will really benefit from some editorial help from a stronger English speaker before going 1.0, but all the text is clear enough for now.

I may wait for a few more updates before I invest a *ton* more time into it, but I am awaiting those updates eagerly!

Minedew Valcraft with a very cute aesthetic. Seems like it takes good stuff from the games that inspired it and puts enough of its own spin on things to not feel like a ripoff or a cash grab. I got to make my character a little goblin dude. That's pretty neat on its own.

Has some performance issues right now (bogged down every time I went in and out of menus) and some UX quirks, but since it's in early access those things are fine *for now*. Looking forward to following updates.

An incredible homage to the original Diablo, capturing the spirit of that game while still introducing more than enough new content to make it both modern and unique. Card based games and hack'n'slash games are both like crack to me, so basically I was doomed to like this from the beginning.

The short story is this: Dirty Bomb is a team-based FPS with a whole bunch of characters that have unique abilities and gear, and different roles to play on the team.

It's got personality, it's got great maps, and it's got a really good free-to-play model. Missions come up every 3 hours that are worth between 500 and 1000 credits each. You also get 500 for your first play (of each of 3 modes) and your first win (overall). Mercs are 30k-50k each, so even if you can only do one set of missions a day, you've got 10% of a new merc earned per day. That's not a bad rate of progression for a free game.

Definitely worth checking out if you like shooters.

This game is in beta, but it's getting better with each patch.

I've owned the game for a while, and it was a great experience my first few times playing it, but I started to get bored because each character used the same exact attacks if they were holding the same weapon (with one unique attack as an exception).

Recent patches have started adding unique moves to characters, and it made the whole game way better. Characters feel more distinct and unique, and it makes choosing a favorite character more meaningful (and mastering that character more rewarding)!

I've never been much of a competitive person, but playing ranked 1v1 in Brawlhalla gets my blood pumping. I'm peaking right on the verge of the Silver tier, but I love being in a ranked mode because every match I play is against someone close to my skill level, so every fight challenges me to play my best.

Haven't played long yet, but I was almost instantly addicted. Default difficulty is sufficiently challenging without too much punishment, character classes are easy to learn but feel unique and require different play styles. Great blend of tactics and twitch in tough fights.
