I quite enjoyed this game. I liked the highly skill based combat, and pulling off multiple parries in a row never fails to be satisfying. The exploration is nice too. My biggest gripe is that progression is very slow and I wish it was faster. Takes forever to grind up xp, sen, and items

I will probably remember this game on my deathbed. It is a true bona fide masterpiece with themes that really got to me. I would recommend this game to anyone, and everyone.

I have nearly 30 hours in this game and it's all in VR. I would recommend VR because it's certainly a different experience, and in my opinion, is better than playing it not in VR because now you have SCALE. Oh that random tower? Now you can see how mindboggingly tall it is! That mountain? Now you gotta walk up it yourself! The Atlas has the same intended terrifying scale it was always meant to have. And the sentinels? Nothing scared me more than the first time I saw the boston dynamics robot dog but with a laser for a face. Unfortunately, there are some little nits that I feel need fixing. Flight controls are clunky which makes space combat extremely annoying, you can't scan anything with the analysis visor without also highlighting a random waypoint a hundred miles away. You can't chat or emote in VR. But it is still fun regardless.

Mention for the story: When it's not up its own ass, it's well written and I genuinely connected with it on an emotional level.

My advice: Grab some headphones, listen to a podcast and set your own goals. It's like Minecraft in which you have a lot of resource gathering to do just to be able to gather more resources in that kind of cycle. It can get monotonous and it's entirely up to you if you take monotony as a way to pass time, to spend a few hours gathering resources just to move on forwards with something in the background, or if you get extremely bored. I feel the game is a 10/10 if you're like me, a weird nerd that doesn't mind some daily grind as long as it's in SPAAAAAAAAAAAACE
