The game was amazing even before the steam release, and the updates with this version have made it even better. It still has a very steep learning curve, but now you can click around in menus to inspect things instead of trying to remember all the hotkeys.

Can't wait to sink thousands more hours into the game and excited to see all the updates in the future!

I've had a blast with the physical game and wanted to get a little more playtime without interfering with our irl group. I've tried the Tabletop Simulator version but it doesn't really bring much to the table for solo play.

Picked up this version and I sunk 40 hours in my first week, and found about a half dozen things we were doing wrong in the board game. The graphics, animations, and narration were all way better than expected and I was surprised to find a completely new mode (Guildmaster) that lets you play the game without any spoilers for the main campaign (story-wise, at least... you do unlock the additional classes very quickly)!

Gloomhaven scratches so many different genre itches for me - it's an RPG where choices matter, a deck builder, a tactical turn-based game, and an incredibly strong co-op experience. It also has a seemingly open modding toolkit as well, so I'm excited to see what kind of player-created content shows up in the years to come.

If you like sandbox games like Terraria, KSP, or Minecraft, you probably already have this game and love it. If not, you're doing it wrong and you need to buy this game ASAP!

This game is seriously amazing. I've been playing for over a year now and even back then the game was worth way more than the ~$20 I paid for alpha access. Even if they don't end up implementing any of the amazing features they have planned, the game in its current state is still worth every penny!
