Look, it's a great game and all, but I believe it is incredibly difficult and complicated when you first start out. Spent an hour playing, did nothing that progressed. All I achieved was an extra oxygen tank and some food. I learnt this from a tutorial. I couldn't work out anything else. I really think there needs to be some form of system to help people with certain aspects, like where to find certain resources, night time strategies, and what's dangerous and what's not.

Sorry, can't recommend the game if it's too hard to play.

EDIT: After three years it turns out I don't like the game because I'm a ♥♥♥♥♥ who is afraid of the ocean and just noped everywhere minus a small area around the starting pod. Apologies, I am changing my recommendation as it's unfair to say an exploration game is bad because I got too scared to explore the game.

Holy crap this game is amazing.

Get it. No, seriously, get the $15 you need and buy this game. You will regret the time you HAVEN'T spent playing this game.

It is a beautiful game. I am short on time, so I can't say much, but not getting this is a mistake you will definitely regret. Take my word on it.

This is a stunning game, of course, since it is in an 8-bit fashion, not amazing, HQ graphics, but the way the designed everything in this game suits it so well.

As many others, I, too, thought this was just 2-D Minecraft. Boy, was I wrong. This game is nearly opposite to Minecraft (Except for they both have (sort of) an End Boss, they are Survival and Sandbox themed, etc.) A great game.

This game doesn't start off amazing, but the further you go, the more enjoyable this game gets. Also, every achievement makes you feel like you have accomplished something amazing. Like reaching the underworld, or beating your first boss (Eye of Cthulhu). But when you beat the final boss of the game (Moon Lord/Cthulhu), you feel like you are a conquerer. A champion. A leader. You feel amazing. And, considering how expensive other games are, it is pretty cheap. I can't recommend this game enough.

I give Terraria a 8.5/10. It isn't perfect, a little rough, but it is pretty darn good. I enjoy how everything is 2-D, so you can see the danger, but they balance it out by making it a little tougher than the old Minecraft. For those new to Terraria, as many have and will say, no, this is not some rip-off version of the classic Minecraft. It is much more than that. I don't know if I am going too far, or I am going too short, as this is my first review, and I haven't played Terraria a lot to know every little thing about it (I haven't even beaten the Wall Of Flesh yet, although I am real close, and have challenged him a few times, with mistakes). But, no matter where you are, whether you are chopping down wood in a freshly generated world, or challenging Moon Lord for the 20th time, taking him down in mere seconds, you will have a blast playing this game, and, hey, is it me, or is the sun looking a little square?
