Incredible game, but unless Valve steps in and fixes the aimbotting, instakilling, chat-spamming, votekicking bots from clogging up most Casual servers, the game will shrivel up and die.

A really fun albeit short platformer with an absolutely BANGING soundtrack. The artstyle may be primitive in places, but it is extremely charming. The gameplay feels satisfying and punchy, and most spells are quite varied in function.

The balancing is a little so-so at times. Some of the later game bosses are really easy to spam down with spells and melee knockback. The final boss was more confusing than anything, but still absolutely climactic. I also really didn't find much reason to use the bow; it severely nerfs your platforming abilities, and you get it in an area that is quite heavy on death pits.

Still, this game is definitely worth a go. Absolutely a hidden gem in my books, though being Finnish my opinion may be more than a little biased.

Seriously though, I can't praise the OST enough. Absolutely killer chiptunes!

I had really hoped Stress Level Zero had learned its lessons from Boneworks. The trailer seemed exciting; the body switching was a really clever idea (it is), the areas are more creative and visually interesting (they are) and the visuals in general are less drab (kinda?). I was happy to see improvements here and there, and it was a lot easier to marathon the game because of it.

However, the main reason it's so easy to marathon is because for a 40€ game, there is NOTHING here. The game took me about 5 hours to beat, and at the end felt supremely unsatisfying. The game seems to end almost immediately after the game takes its training wheels off, leaving you wanting more, and not in the good way. It just felt like the game was 90% tutorials.

Even ignoring the short runtime, what few levels are there are really nothing to write home about. Levels range from "just fine" to "oh my god, how did SLZ ever think this was a good idea". Most of the levels are just snippets from the game's sandbox gamemodes, which seems to be where most of this game's dev attention was put into.

The moddability is the game's biggest selling point. Custom avatars are easy to add and the hub world is specifically made for experimenting with the game's mechanics. Problem is, none of the modding tools SLZ has provided are superior to what the community has cooked up for Boneworks. SLZ excuses the pitiful runtime by suggesting people play community-created content instead.

The game is not without glitches, either. The new mantling mechanic is useful in some parts, but simply flings you off of thinner platforms you're trying to climb on top of. Lockers are a pain to open because your hand doesn't rotate around the grip point, same with melee weapons. Your hand is either 100% holding on right or not at all. The gun stocks also felt like they were a hindrance more often than a benefit. It feels like squeezing the game onto a Quest 2 seriously hurt the general polish of the game.

In short, the game is overpriced for the amount of content it offers, and what content is there is largely unfun and reliant on community content. Unless the campaign somehow gets a BIG extension sometime down the line, I just can't recommend it.

The game freezes up every so often when installed. There is no rhyme or reason to the crashes, but every now and again, no matter how calm or hectic the situation is, the game will just lock up and only music plays. Once this happens, it is also impossible to close the game regularly, forcing you to kill the program through the task manager (if it even lets you).

Even ignoring the crashes, this DLC really doesn't do much. Borderlands 2 is already carried so hard by its artstyle that any slightly higher resolution textures barely even affect the visual fidelity of the game.

Don't use this, folks.

Super neat, little micro-campaign. While there's nothing really new brought to the table, it's still super-solid, Valve-grade level and setpiece design. My only real gripe is the length (clocking at around 30 minutes). Just makes you want to play through Half-Life 2 again, though then again, is that a bad thing?

Very simple and very cute. A good way to showcase VR to relatives or friends who get motion sick easily, as this game is VERY chill. Unfortunately the game is EXTREMELY short (I finished it in less than 10 minutes). However, considering it's a very quick download and the game is free, it's difficult not to recommend playing it at least once.

That, and the game is so dang cute.

While the game itself may be a bit short (all the campaigns (including the L4D1 campaigns) take about 6 hours to beat if you know what you're doing), the sheer amount of modding far outweighs it. There are absolute bucketloads of awesome new campaigns, weapon models, memes and all sorts of stuff to satisfy anyone's needs. The workshop is absolutely a highlight of this game.

Though a word of warning for new players: don't try any versus gamemodes if you're new. The community is rather toxic, but it never really affected me, considering I care little about it.

Small Radios Big Televisions works like this. Each level is shaped like a different geometric shape, and each side has a bunch of doors. The player must enter these doors to find a bunch of rooms, cog and key puzzles, all in the hopes of unlocking more sides to the geometric building. To move to the next level, the player must uncover all sides of the geometric shape. Each level has a unique gimmick, and all use tapes as a main gameplay feature. You find them in many places during the game, and when you use one, you will be transported to a small "pocket dimension". There is also a way to alter these "pocket dimensions", which acts as a nice little puzzle mechanic.

The artstyle is nice, clean and I'm a sucker for factory-like aesthetics. The music is psychedelic, and it's a nice way to spend your time.

The problem stems from a bunch of different problems I had.

First, the nitpicky side of me noticed how you can almost never get a proper volume setting that doesn't make the music sound too loud or quiet. Indoor areas are really quiet, but the outdoors can blast my eardrums.

Second, the game is VERY short. Within only a bit over half an hour, I had already beaten two of the game's five factories.

Third (and most important), as nice as the game is presented, it's VERY difficult to nagivate. You are given a map, but when the game is almost entirely side view 2.5D and the map is top-down 2D, the feature might as well not even be there. Important gameplay elements aren't even visible on it either, so it's practically useless.

The overabundance of doors and lack of any dignificant landmarks (aside from being able to close dead-end rooms' doors) makes navigation to the next location a huge hassle, and it's not all that exciting.

The game is good if you want an artsy puzzler and you like getting lost within room after room. It's not if you don't like getting frustrated by samey puzzles and generally don't care much for artistic games.

If you do plan on getting this, get it on sale. 12€ is a bit much for a game that can probably be beaten in under two hours.

Borderlands 2 is a game where you can listen to a megalomaniac supercompany CEO talk about a diamond pony named Butt Stallion.
Borderlands 2 is a game where you're being bumrushed by psychos with oversized pizza cutters screaming about Shakespeare, meat bicycles and condoms.
Borderlands 2 is a game where a quest involves shooting a person in the face.
that's it.

Borderlands 2 is a game where a grenade can teleport where you're looking, suck enemies in and turn into a fire sprinkler.
Borderlands 2 is a game where you have basically no limit on how ridiculous your weapons are.
Borderlands 2 is a game where you can listen to a hunter-scholar-gentleman talk about bonerfarts.
Borderlands 2 is a game where nothing makes sense, everything explodes, and you love every second of it.

Oh, and there's crumpets too.
