The game has really tight controls and super fun to play. I play mostly on the go on my Switch, but obviously, the Steam version is equally as wonderful and I sometimes play it when I need a breather (then get all stressed from not being able to beat my personal record).

The swinging and combat controls are so tight.

This is such a good game but it took me a long time to really appreciate it. My first ever CIV was Revolution on iOS so I bought this thinking it's a quick and easy simulation game - this could not be farther from the truth though. The level of micromanaging especially at the near the end game is what turned me off at first, but once I actually learned what each points mean and how to take advantage of resources, districts, and units, the game got so much more fun (only took about a year).

Gathering Storm is a great expansion too, but I think the climate change and diplomatic victory system need a little tweaking. New districts, civs, and disaster add so much to the already complex mechanism but still keeps it fun.
