Banished.... Basically the dark souls of building strategy games (at least for me...).
You might hate it at first, but open up after you learned how to safe your starving, freezing, overaged villagers.

Basically you start as a small group of banished nomads (hence the name) and try to build a flourishing city.

Of course this comes with challenges: As stated before, you will have to cope starvation, the cold, overaging, diseases and catastrophes like fires and tornados which can destroy all your hard work in an instant.

One of the huge upsides is also the huge variety of numerous mods, ranging from aesthetics to introducing brand-new functions.

All in all you should at least try it if you like peaceful city-building in a medieval setting.
