2D Review:

I was perpetually unenthused while traversing within this game, through a mix of the uninspired exploration, clunky combat and mundane scares, I was simply only looking forward to finishing it so I never have to play it again. And although the details in the environments are suitably interesting, it just wasn't enough to lift the other errors.

I will note however, that although the combat would still be negative attribute of this game, that playing with VR support feels like it would enhance the experience enough for me to recommend it. Sadly, I do not, and had to complete it in 2D.

If you're looking for mindless zerg rushing similar to what you did when you were a child in an RTS Map Maker, then I heftily recommend this. If you're looking to recreate your favourite battles with events, triggers, tactics and what-not, ignore this title as it is devoid of any depth.

Overall, even when looking for just a zerg rush, what customisation the game does have is very limiting and although the workshop items are promising, it's simply a thousand band-aids. One thing that stands out the most is although the option for unit customisation is available, you can't even select all types of unit to alter, leaving it feeling really unfinished.

It feels like it was en-route to be something better, then youtubers picked it up, showed it to the masses and they made their money.

Smooth and tight little package with decent item progression, enough collectables for its size, spicy boss fights and a difficulty that rewards skill.
