A beautiful, heartfelt game about making the most of every opportunity you have - even when you do have impossible magic that lets you try more than once.

This is a solid roguelike platformer (not a metroidvania, as it doesn't rely on a static map, backtracking, and consistent upgrades), with a great soundtrack and intense difficulty. Be aware, however, that it does not seem to work properly with the Steam controller under any circumstances; the only workaround I've found is to rebind the keyboard controls to those simulated by the Steam controller.

This noir thriller hearkens back to text-based and Sierra-era adventure games: heavy on storytelling, but with the gameplay you expect from a modern game. Instead of deliberate black-and-white, it's deliberately low-fi 3D - the perfect marriage of noir and gaming.
