It's a fun game with a high skill ceiling. Just don't buy any in-game items aside from the Rocket Pass - that's worth the subscription fee

It's a good practice tool and a way to learn songs. It's probably still a good idea to still get lessons as you learn so a teacher can instill good practice habits and help you avoid bad technique and the like. But the game is nice to get some candy fun playing songs you like and actually get some feedback if you're not quite nailing the song like you think you are.

Two gripes with the game, the first one more major and the other possibly subjective:

1) When playing a song that requires a full tuning change, the game will display the chords on the chart as how they are pitched, not their chord shape. This gets incredibly confusing and goes against how sheet music and tableture is written. Simply put, the chart should label an E chord as an E chord, no matter what the tuning change turns the pitched sound of this chord shape. There should be an option to change this feature for the chord names.

2) The songs are divided strictly into rhythm and lead parts and not necessarily how the band divides the parts. I'll use "Ties that bind" by Alter Bridge as an example. Myles Kennedy plays the lead part in the intro, 2nd verse, and pre-bridge...but Mark Tremonti plays the lead during the last chorus and the outro solo. There should be a "stage mode" that divides the part as the band performs it. I say this because I've learned the "Mark" parts in a live band setting, but obviously got a few suprises when I went to go play the Lead chart for this song.

The guitar and bass chart to Going Under is incorrect. The song is supposed to be in B standard (although lately, the band just uses 7 string guitars live cause you only use the bottom 4 strings anyway unless it's the solo) so the chords sound very weird. In the verses, it's just supposed to be an E5 power chord (which is my other gripe with Rocksmith, labeling the chords on the chart as the sonic pitch, not the chord shape like literally every other music notation software and paper sheet music uses), not the weird F#/B chord they suggest.

It's another Warriors hack-and-slash game. You know what you're getting when you play. I love these games and they're fun. Runs fine on my older gaming laptop. It's fairly challenging. Would recommend it!

This game is hard! No save points in dungeons, so the endgame is one heck of a gauntlet to run. Also character deaths in battle is a lot more unforgiving cause you can't buy Phoenix downs or elixirs, either. Without spoiling anything, there are also some parts of the game where you will be forced to change your party's jobs into a mage team, too. Finally, you -will- have to grind a lot in this game. Like, significantly more than later games in the series, which also disguise some of their grinding with side quests and other content rather than just a massive enemy difficulty spike when you set foot in a new area.

The story is a lot more sparse, but it's okay. Final Fantasy 1-3 didn't really have much in the way of stories. I wouldn't recommend it as a starting point for getting into the series (unless you just want to start with arguably the most difficult title and can get through the increased amount of battle difficulty and grinding in the game), but once you've played some of them, it's worth checking out.

A short, but sweet game/story/exploration. There are so many paths to explore and try out. The humor in the narration is fantastic. It's worth the $15 to get it but it does go on Steam sales, too.
