Valheim reminds me of the best parts of so many games, like:
the freedom of Minecraft
the dopamine rush of progression from RuneScape
the RPG-y combat of Mount&Blade
"just one more little thing" style of addiction, like Civilization

But the best part? Nature. It's detailed, rich, challenging - yet bendable to your will. You can trot around ancient forests and terraform mountains & rivers. Smash rocks, fall trees, hunt birds. And while the game is relatively tiny (1GB) compared to other modern games, graphics-wise it is absolutely stunning. Sure, up close it's a bit grainy and pixelated, but if you look at the big picture... wow.

In my 10 hours, I haven't encountered any noteworthy bugs. I haven't unlocked even a quarter of the content in this time. Tried the co-op too - just as seamless as playing an MMO with friends.

All in all, get this game. The money-to-entertainment ratio is off the charts with this one.

Hundres of hours of platforming madness to be had from this game. I find it great for quick, 10-30 minute gaming sessions.
