let me get this out of the way, this game crashes.....ALOT. its 2025 (currently for this review), so they probably won't patch the game anytime soon or even at all at this point. Even with the crashes, crashes that corrupt your entire save data and delete all your keybindings (kinda funny ngl), I'd still recommend this game for it's story and gun play. I probably won't finish the game anytime soon because of that crash, however, I still recommend it.

just go play TF2, atleast with that game you can sell back the skins you bought and don't want anymore.

1. You have to run the game on an SSD, not Hard drive. Hard drive will cause severe lag in matches. running the game on a Hard Drive will also cause longer load times which results in late starts in matches.

Updated: I had to delete the campaign due the multiplayer kept getting so many updates, there's no more space on my SSD. I understand thats more of a "me" problem, but seriously? 140GB for both the campaign AND multiplayer?? how is that even possible? the multiplayer still requires 97GB of space alone before you can start downloading. I just dont understand this.

2. for what is offered in a $70+ game, they REALLY want you to give them more money for skins that are sometimes nothing special. Yeah, a lizard that smokes weed is an interesting skin... but not for $30. This games has as many micro-transactions as free games like Fortnite or Marvel Rivals

3. I've only been playing since mid December, but the Events are nothing special for rn. I don't care about squid game, why is this in a military shooter. I know it's not realistic (clearly with the weed smoking lizard operator skin) but seriously, the squid game theming is just ridiculous.

4. The game is so grindy. Oh Dear Lord this game is terrible for grind. I got the special edition for $80 during the Christmas sale (Please do not spend $100 for this game just wait until a sale) and got the season one battle pass included. tell me why after 15+ hours of matches, I'm only 2/3 done with the battle pass. There's no possible way you can get the entire battle pass done without XP boosters that I don't know how to get any. I've only acquired 1 my entire time of playing. And yes, you heard me right, XP boosters. There's not even one type, no no no, this is Activision, There are 3 types of XP boosters, one for leveling, one for weapons, and a completely separate one for Battle Pass. Double XP weekends don't even effect the Battle Pass so you're just screwed or pay even more money to unlock more item.

5. Tell me why in a Game where I can see someone's organs explode out of their body I can't name things after cuss words or "things that may seem offensive." I understand banning hate speech, but not allowing me to name a gun or a loadout "the Rizzler" is actually crazy. Chill out Activision, let me name my guns and loadouts funny words

Overall, this game is terrible for grind, artstyle is uninspired, Zombies is meh... but it's Call of Duty. its addictive gameplay (for a time) and dopamine releasing shooting. But don't spend $70 after the next COD comes out in 2025. Do not buy items from the store in game, you paid for the game, do not give them more money.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING THE DLC AT ALL! its not worth $20, its not worth $10. If the game is on sale and you can upgrade for like $4 more to deluxe edition then fine, but that's it. Shadows of Rose is complete garbage in my opinion. The DLC for RE8 suffers from the same issue of RE7's DLC, which they both don't follow the same energy as the base game. The Entirety of shadows of Rose feels scripted. There's barely anything that I would consider a "puzzle".and the story isn't good, at all. I'm sorry to say that but it's true.

RE games aren't known for their writing, however, this would be thew only reason to buy the DLC. The reason why I say the story isn't good is because [/spoiler]

This doesn't feel ike DLC for RE8, this doesn't even feel like I'm playing an RE game at all because of the gameplay and somewhat of the writing. I didn't enjoy the DLC at all. The only reason to get this DLC is for "third person mode" and mercenaries mode, which both shouldn't have to pay for when they're in the other games completely for free.

Dont waste your money on this.

dont waste your money on the DLC. It's not worth $15, is not worth $6. What makes the serious iconic is the puzzles, fun weapons, and monsters. This DLC has no puzzles. You don't use any weapons except for your fists, a "Throwing spear", and a sticky bomb. I guess they were trying to go for a beat'em up style but it doesn't work. Only after you beat it, then you can go back and use weapons. There's only one new monster, and its instakill, so not great. they added a fun mecanic where you can eat grubs to gain health, not as much as a first aid med, however, the animation to eat the grub is just as long so you'd only do it when you Have to. Overall its lowsy, doesn't match the pacing of RE7, the cut scenes are also pretty trash and corny, and the [/spoiler]. dont buy this, don't waste your time.

The writing is terrible. Jokes are not funny and go on for way too long. The voice acting is terrible. At times I had to turn off character voices due to how annoying they are.

dont buy this game until it's out of early access. It's not worth $25 for a game that will probably never come out

its fun for the first hour or two, but afterwards the pacing becomes awful.the leveling structure is sloppy. its just russian garbage.

rather play this then animal crossing
