Early Access Review
I haven't played very much but so far I like it enough to give a recommendation. However, I haven't progressed too far so take my review with a grain of salt.

Dragonwilds is definitely for the OSRS or RS3 player at heart. It takes many characters, items, and overall inspiration from those games. In its heart it is a survival game, and typically I don't have much fun when it comes to survival games, but I do enjoy this. Maybe it's because of the Runescape universe it builds on, but I don't have plans to quit playing this. From the first hour or so it plays just like any other survival game, but then you start seeing more and more familiar items. You can craft a rune altar yourself, mine rune essence, and craft different runes, collect birds nests from fallen trees, level up familiar skills, all while being under the watch of dragons. As you're playing, you will be hunted by various other factions, such as goblin warriors, poison-spitting dragons just to name a few. As you level up your skills, new perks will be unlocked such as critical hits while mining, enchanting your main weapon temporarily with an element, etc. You will also unlock spells to help with various skills such as a spell to cut down a line of trees, a spell to blast rocks apart for ore/essence, a spell that will turn trees into bones which you can use for crafting, etc.

Some parts of the game I do not like such as there is currently a cap of 4 players per world. While I've been playing by myself, I think it would be great for there to be a much larger cap on players. Sometimes it also seems like you get hunted a lot, maybe around every 30 minutes or so, and I haven't decided whether I like that or not. On one hand it's nice that you aren't in a completely safe world, and on another it feels like there should be more time in between. I also think hunger and thirst drain too rapidly, but in the context of in-game days it does make sense instead of being able to go multiple days without drinking. Building for the most part works as well, but definitely stills needs to be improved on.

Overall I think Jagex has a solid game with Dragonwilds, just needs to keep putting more solid content in. It's definitely not for everyone, and I hope they don't abandon RS3 for this because RS3 can be worth playing if you take out the most efficient way of skilling which is by paying money.

Terrible moderation of the game, terrible forced chat filter
You hit an absolute wall where the only thing to do is skill just for skilling sake. I don't see them fixing this issue because there's really not much to do. Adding more episodes in won't change that.

So far it's pretty fun. The big meat and cheese is of course on the wrestling. The controls are easy enough to understand and doesn't take long to get good. The animations are fluid, the environment needs a bit of work with the crowd and some wrestlers don't look as good as others. The gameplay is fun and I can play this for a few hours without getting bored. The create a wrestler basics are all there, and the movesets are all deep. Entrances are kind of disappointing in they only last about 5 seconds. Road To Elite, which is your story mode, is fun but not very deep. Really the only reason to play is to train your created wrestlers. All in all it's not a perfect game, but the big meat and cheese of the game, the wrestling, is fun as hell.

So far so good. I played the most of the original Beat Hazard, played a bit of BH2 but BH3 is shaping to be the best of them all. Trippy and intense visualizations, the ability to play streaming music instead of just local tracks. And now a new feature which is called Galaxies which is basically a lobby you can make public with your set music choices. You can select a single artist for your galaxy, an artist and similar artists, and even genres. It's shaping up to be the best Beat Hazard of them all

What can I say? It's like a modern Serious Sam. They went back to their roots. It's great. I highly recommend this game. Co-Op action is done so well. If you are a fan at all of Serious Sam, old school-ish shooters, or ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ up in an extreme fashion, get this.
