This is one of those games where you can somewhat immediately tell it's something special. What that means isn't necessarily "the game is perfect, literally no flaws", but rather that they're flaws you can understand and make the game still worthwhile.

There's bits that felt drawn out, and you can get stuck with some puzzles/figuring out what to do, but when it all comes together and you figure a language or translation out, it almost feels like magic.

This is honestly one of the best games of the year, there might be others where I prefer the gameplay, but this is one of those games that will sit in my mind for quite a while

Cool game, maybe one of the best rhythm games in terms of presentation. Later stages throw you off with various rhythms too

Yes, cute girls to lewd, but the game itself doesn't actually have that. It's a block puzzle game like sokoban, with the added goal of being as efficient as possible. Later on it gets challenging, but once you make it past the last few levels, I feel like it's a very satisfying experience.

The soundtrack is repetitive, but great for a relatively short game

While the top comments have mostly explained what the games are like, I will agree that this game is perhaps not that great at its full price point, especially relative to other indies with some excellent titles cheaper than this. However this game frequently goes on sale for a dollar, at which the scenario feels flipped. Suddenly it becomes an amazing value for the pricing.

I do feel like the pricing and lack of achievements slightly hurts the game, since I agree with the top reviews that each game is to an extent flawed. I would argue that for each game in this collection, there's several more well known/better and similar titles out there, often cheaper than the full price. And that's discounting retro games.

However ultimately each game also carries some amount of fun to your experience, it's not like the negatives means you can't enjoy a game at all. Similar to how some consider the NES Classic collection worth the price or not, this is debatably worth your money on full price point, but I do think that during sales/at lower pricing this collection is worth trying out.
