Not just the best Total War game ever made, but possibly the best RTS ever made.

It has been fourteen days, or maybe twenty, it's getting difficult to tell. There is no self, there is no outside, there is only the Khuzait Empire, and its inexorable spread across the steppe to conquer the pathetic settled peoples of Calradia. Metsui is saying something to me about a spy in one of her towns, but I am not listening. She is useful, for now, but soon the might of Qoyonlu will have to come crashing down upon her as well. There is not space for two cubs at the teat of the she-wolf.

I bring the horse archers round the right flank in a mighty wheel. The imperials begin to move, lances down, full charge. The brilliant armour of their Cataphracti would be enough to frighten a lesser woman, but I have faced their kind before. A nod to Apys, waiting in the woods, sees a mighty phalanx of Khan's Guard slice through their nascent charge. They are smashed. I personally strike the commander's horse out from under him.

Another prisoner, another battle won. But my vassals will be hungry for more, and I cannot tarry. My quarry is brought back to the keep in chains. We will feast this night.
