My Story with this Game

Today i want to tell a story. A story, an adventure i lived through the past 2-3 months.
While Real Life kept me occupied and busy wich made for its own story, i made it through every installment of this series. Guided by the one i love, my girl.

When we first discussed what to do once im home, she came up with the idear of playing mass effekt, while i have to make the decision.
We life apart quite a distance from one another you know? Hope to change that in the future. So this was a good idear to interact together, and have something to enjoy.
She wanted to see my reaktions so badly. Back then i had heard of the game of cause, seen some memes, but never played it.
So i just said: "ok why not, lets start it".
We startet it up, back with the normal Edition and made it to the specter promotion. Then: She picked up the Legendary Edition. In the Time between we had a bit of a break, so we startet over in a brandnew coat, so to speak.

Im a gamer you know. Got my fare share of playtime in different games. Got my favorite genres, my most beloved titles, but this game... got to my heart from the very beginning. Something like that does not happen often, especialy not that instantanious.

I fell in love with these 3 games. every quest was amazing. Every dialoge intense. Every fight worth taking. And i only got a few flaws to note. Non of wich broke my immersion.
As someone new to this universe, it sucked me in, kept me there and i enjoyed every bit of it.
The only thing i regret is, not picking it up earlyer. But heres another thanks to my love, for she showed me this. And im glad she did.

So it came that we just finished the trilogie.
No spoilers here of cause.
But the decision at the end, seeing what it all come to, made me write this.
It was that touching.
THIS: this is why i love games so much as a media. They suck you in more then anything else through interaktion. Something a movie could never do. Interaktive storytelling.

As a wise man said once: "it is breathtaking".
A fare share of manly tears went down, as i put a close to this fantastic game trillogie.

Heres to you Bioware.
All my love for your creation.
Thank you for making this.
And thanks to my girl, for without her, i would have never fallen in love with this like she did, all thouse years ago.

And if your like me: someone who never touched the game?
I say, do it. You wont regret it.
