Turn the speed up and keep going far longer than you should. I'll never beat this thing at higher levels, but it takes what Slay the Spire did, improves on it at every turn, and looks great while it's doing it.

Wonderful rogue-like that only feels random until you dig in to the different equipment available. Runs are fairly quick, the aesthetic is lovely, and bending the dice to your will is a wonderful feeling.

Early Access Review
You've still got control of the menu, but you have to adhere to the rules. New focus on holding station foods makes the campaign start of easy but it ramps up nicely in the second area.

I love this game. It's challenging without being cheap, different trains are available on some of the maps, and the subway map aesthetic is great.

I don't know how I got it, but Mario's Picross was my favorite Game Boy game as a kid. Later Picross DS was one of my favorite DS games. And then I never found another good one until Paint It Back on iOS. The pictures are fun, there are a lot of puzzles, and the varied difficulty levels mean anybody can enjoy. All of that comes through in the Steam version, and the mouse controls are great (left click for paint, right click for x).

Paint it Back is, for me, right up there with the Hexcells games. Fantastic puzzles, simple controls, and if you're doing it right you never ever have to guess.

I can shoot angry bees at my hands and then shoot a splicer with a shotgun that shocks and sets him on fire at the same time. Gathers are fun, little horde mode segments, and using the spear gun to attach spider splicers to the ceiling is always amazing. You can freeze-drill guys to death, and name and repair your robot helpers. The story's pretty good, too, and the Big Daddy and Big Sister fights are exactly what you want - challenge without feeling unfair and a great time to use trap rivets, trap spears, and proximity mines.

This may be the best adventure game I've ever played. Focus is almost completely on story, and while the choices made aren't earth-shattering they do make the narrative unique. Characters feel like real people, situations are suitably tense, and the last act is amazing. Both times I've played episode 5 I have had to do it in one sitting because despite numerous auto-save points there is no place where it feels okay to stop.

SNES graphics, martians, and a ship whose charge shots can go through walls. The only thing missing is online play. Everybody should own this game.

Mmmm.... raspberries - also the best tower defense game I've ever played. The narration is good, the level variety is great, and the amount of things to do is staggering.
