An interesting, albeit a bit confusing at first, piece of retro-japanese-themed horror.

TL;DR: A puzzle-ish combat-ish walking simulator. Buy if a fan of Giger's art, otherwise wait for at least a -50% sale.
I have the (mis)fortune of being one of the kickstarters for this game. I'm a bit conflicted but would probably help kickstart the hopefully happening second part.

GAMEPLAY: You're given time to walk around and enjoy the scenery between the puzzles. Puzzles themselves are not a challenge but are at least different and interesting. They make me wonder what could have been.
From time-to-time You encounter enemies that look and feel a bit out of place but do pose a threat. The combat IS clunky, this seems half-deliberate as it helps to create the horror-aspect of the game - slow reloading, slow weapon swapping and the melee weapon having a cooldown in tight corridors inevitably causes distress.

VISUALS: H.R. Giger - The Game. The visuals are absolutely gorgeous and the main reason this game got made and is bought. I love it and wish there was more of it.

LENGTH: Like many things in life it comes up a bit too short. My sightseeing took 8 hours.
Based on what I read and what is shown in different teasers it looks like there is much cut content.
This looks like a case of a devteam underestimating how much time it takes to create the gigeresque assets and publisher getting antsy about the ~8-year development time.

ENDING: In Gigeresque style the player gets a happy ending. ;)

It was hard.

It would be harder if the game actually had any simulated physics. Nvidia PhysX is just for show.

DOOT but in VR.
Needs more levels and story, though.

Early Access Review
The game is funny for the first fifteen minutes but in the end leaves you wanting your 5€ back. If you are looking for party games to have fun with, look towards Jackbox games. Both my male and female guests enjoyed playing Fibbage XL more than this.

Also - the AGENDA. Why there has to be an underlying agenda with games like these? Can't we just stick with the cheap laughs?

There isn't much good I could say about the game that isn't already said so I'll just say this: the best thing about this game is - it is not made for children.

The game engine is superb, the story just keeps on giving, the DLC is the best around and it contains violence, nudity and violence INCLUDING nudity. What more could a man ask for?

Well, a man could only ask for more of this. :)

The developers keep making dubious design decisions, any disagreement topics in the forums will be swiftly locked.
Pleas to test teir changes on a larger scale than internal testing will be answered "niet" and "statistics show this and that". Requests to disclose the statistics will be met by "niet".

The playerbase (at least in the EU) has been steadily declining up to a point when they don't dare to show who queues with that tier and nation. To reduce the queueing times they keep making changes that indeed will shorten the queue times but also make the match-making harder for players with weaker machines.

There are LONG standing issues, that have already been registered as bugs, that are still not fixed.
They don't even fix some of the cash-grab premium vehicles.

In conclusion - they won't get any income from me from this point on until the toxic community management has ended.

I'll still play the game though. I'll play it to waste their resources and play it on low tiers, where the balance issue is not that great, to sealclub every new player who thinks they have some spare money for Gaijin. The story is stupid, graphics are OK-ish, tits are jiggly. It is lika a slap in the face for the PC-gaming master race - we get the version with the crappier game engine and less features.

Also the DLC is plainly a cashgrab - don't buy unless the only thing you want out of it is to see tits jiggle.

Even after all this time it is still pretty bad, the devs seem to be more interested in selling costumes for obscene amount of money instead of improving the game...

This game is (somewhat) fun and needs little temporal investment.

I usually play this if I'm bored to death with everything else, yet can't be bothered to do anything meaningful.

The style of the game is simple, it does look very cheap and hastily slapped together, but keep in mind - it is also dirt cheap.

ADHD approves.
