Here is my launch day experience, I don't review often, but I felt a down-to-earth review was necessary to show how much fun I had.
General Overview:
This game is exactly what I wanted from a VR multiplayer dungeon crawl. It took me and two of my friends 3hrs to fully explore the tutorial and first floor of the main dungeon. Combat is unforgiving, so get used to parrying and the swing-refresh times (no swing randomly or death awaits).
The play-style I went with was a spell-blade, I found a nice spiked mace and used the fire dart spell you start with. So I would parry and then be able to punish with both my mace and a spell.
As far as the magic system goes, there's a couple of gripes, but it was day one so meh. I had to re-select my spell after every use, which was fairly simple but I can see people getting butthurt over the action. Also, from what I've seen, spells are not common. I can see the alchemist shopkeep has a place for books but none are placed.
Enemy types:
Four types on the first floor. Sword skelly, big skelly, bow skelly, and those stupid little goblins (i hate them) (i throw them every time i see one) seriously those little guys are so low to the ground, and with me being 6ft (they are about 2) I am fighting a toddler with a sword.
Music...
Turn it off, put on some DMX and make that first floor bend over.

Good game for you and the buds, I look forward to seeing how this game grows :)

Hours of fun! But, I HIGHLY recommend not adding mods until you have finished playing through the whole game legit.
