I really wanted to like this game, the trilogy (remakes and original) are some of my favorite platformers. But in this game, they took everything good about the originals and dialed it up so high that it because frustrating, bordering on tedium. Longer levels, harder challenges, cheap deaths, etc. Dying feels worse than any Crash game to day. Overcoming challenging feels less rewarding and more like overcoming tedium. There's no satisfaction in triumph, just relief of not having to do it again. I've put this game down and picked it up multiple times since I bought it. My consensus is that these levels are just not work truding through

Initially, I really liked this game. The first 2 chapters felt like it was leading to something meaningful, and I felt like I could really connect with Alex. In chapter 3 or 4, everything started to fall apart. The story started to feel really rushed, and any deeper meaning was lost. At first it felt like a game about a girl who was struggling to control her emotions and powers. By the end it feels like a cheap murder mystery with not much else going for it.

Ultimately, I really wanted to like this game, but it took what it had going for it and threw it down the drain, ending with 2 very short and unsatisfying chapters. If this game weren't full price I may have enjoyed it more, but it felt like considerably less than any other LiS game for a considerably higher price. Had this game been fleshed out, and not so clearly rushed at the end, I believe this would have been one of my top games of the year. Unfortunately that was not the case, and what we got instead was a glimpse of what could have been.

Extremely compelling story. hands down amazing game
