Early Access Review
I am now legally Finnish having played this game.

The game is great. It's not easy, there's no tips or hand holding. All the necessary information for the game is found by exploring the map, and playing the game. It can be a grind, but that's part of the enjoyment as you slowly get enough money to buy the next part for the Satsuma, or pay the fine you got for illegally dumping waste, or speeding, or pay your bills, or pay to repair your car that you crashed, or pay to fix tiemos window as you needed fuel in the early hours of the morning, or you had your tyres slashed and need new ones for being a devious person.

Perkele, I love this game.

I've played Runescape since i was yong many years ago, and have many great memories of playing it.

OSRS is a brilliant game, and i've spent many many hours enjoying it with friends and solo.

RuneLite is an exceptionally helpful browser to use to play the game, with many QoL improvements on it.

Update:

After playing more hours, steam wants me to update the review.
I still don't recommend it, the community is more toxic than ever, and griefers are everywhere.
If you get this game, enjoy people having full blown fits because they aren't able to get there own way there and then.

There's never over 50 players online at the same time whenever i play, and this game has barely gone over 75 average players per month for a FULL year.
This game is kept alive by a minority of toxic players who will make it a hostile experience for anyone who isn't doing things *there* way.

Original Review:

I want to recommend this game, but i just can't for the reasons i've listed below. The game itself can be fun if you're prepared to spend time reading guides, watching videos and doing things alone to get the hang of it.

- There is a portion of the community who are openly hostile to new players & any minor mistake that a new player makes will result in immediate exile & death, while at the same time not showing any willingness to teach. I've had this happen to myself, and witnessed it happen to other players. 'Sorry i'm new' won't help, you're out. Considering the active playerbase is usually in double figures it can be confusing that there is such animosity to new players.

- Griefing is a real issue. There always seems to be someone trying to kill the sheep, or steal resources, eat all the food, stab/shoot other players, lure bears/wolves into town

- Learning is REALLY hit or miss from other players. The concept of the game is to learn from the generations who have come before you. I've been taught how to make farm rows, plant & water crops and bake pies in the just under 40 hours I've put into the game. Everything else I've had to watch videos/read guides, which really defeats a large part of the game for me.

- "Veterans" of the game use modded clients, giving them a whole range of abilities that are outside of the game design, and give players unfair advantages. Such as 'X-Ray vision', the ability to zoom the map out really far, the ability to hot-key actions. (This can help griefers steal even faster!)

Without a shadow of a doubt, this is the best GTA ever made in my opinion.

Gameplay? - Brilliant.
Story? - Brilliant
Replayable? - Yes, this is the 5th/6th playthrough of single player for me personally over the years!
Online? - YES! There is a program called Multi Theft Auto (MTA) that allows you to join online private servers, with many different game modes available.

This game is a 10/10 for me singleplayer, and adding the fact you can also use MTA, just makes the game better.

Good game, fun & entertaining, could do with a Buy x1000 though, when your buying 40'000+ of one thing, +100 is slow and sucks.

The game has a tendancy to feel very long, slow, and for me, the story didn't have any relevance to anything you where able to do as far as i could see either, with pointless sequences and incredibly obvious pointers to what or where you would be going next.

The walking animation just made me want to cry.

It could potentially turn into something good, but a large overhaul would be needed in my opinion.
