A wonderful chill game that will charm you with it's presentation.
It's a game you have to play in order to know if it's for you. You may be surprised that it hooks you and you keep coming back to it over and over.
I managed to get used to the keyboard + mouse controls, so controller is not essential to enjoy it.

I recommend checking out the game, but it’s a mixed experience.
The music and visuals are wonderful and the seasons mechanic will delight you with visual splendor.
Be aware though that there is a lot of platforming and backtracking and you might find yourself confused. More than once, I had no idea where I was supposed to go or what I needed to do.
I’m glad I played the game and I see it as a great buy for younger audience especially, since there is no violence in it.

This game is surely not for everyone. Watch some gameplay footage before you commit.
You will enjoy this game if:
You like visual novel style games
You enjoy fast paced action gameplay

Reading and fast pace action is what you will experience for most of the game.

My own personal experience after completing the game:
I am conflicted. On one hand, this is a teeth grinding experience where two very different playstyles are mixed. I did not enjoy it. Heaps of text with no incentive to read it and infuriating gameplay. Yet, at times, I really enjoyed the basketball game, at others, I could not wait to see where the story would go next. It’s the inconsistency that leaves me frustrated and confused.
Make no mistake, though, this game took an enormous effort to make. Every aspect – from visuals, to music and writing – is done with heart and soul.
It’s a hard game to get in to, you may not enjoy it, but you will miss out if you don’t give it at least one chance to charm you.

What an amazing game.
It’s a great example of the fact that you don’t have to build big to make a meaningful and amazing experience.
I highly recommend this game as a polished, interesting and well thought out experience. Try it out if you love atmospheric games with a dark twist, love the “guess who” game formula and enjoy Lovecraftian horror.

Wonderful concept and idea - mediocre execution.
If you enjoy platformers like "Super Meat Boy" you'll enjoy this game's mechanics.
The cultural insights are wonderful and so is the setting and unique images that are used as cutscenes.
There's a difference between 'challenging' and 'frustrating', unfortunately for me, I experienced loads of frustration to the point of quitting.
I still recommend the game to anyone who loves platformers or is intrigued by the premise and style.

A simple game that seems well put together at first.
I have several issues with it, like my graphics card heating up as if I was playing a AAA game (is this game Bitcoin mining or something? Very suspicious :/ ).
The levels seem to be randomly generated - they’re not fun to play and just get repetitive.

Interesting execution of game dialog, charming graphics, good voice acting.
A strong recommendation for people who enjoy narrative-driven games.

Gorgeous atmosphere that stays with you long after you finish the game. Mature story and consequences. An unforgettable game that is in a category of its own. Like it or hate it, you must try it out for yourself, since there is nothing quite like it out there.

I’ve been a beta tester on this project. This is an interesting ‘hidden gem’ of a game. What seems a simple enough mechanic from when I started to play, turned out to be quite a thrilling and satisfying gaming experience. Before I knew it, I was doing a few heists a day as a routine – it’s quite addictive.
So what’s it about? Well, do you like stealing everything that’s not nailed to the floor in video games? Do you like challenges and stealth? How about a mature tale with murder, betrayal, twists and turns worthy of any adventure? Then give this game a try.
It’s obviously very well crafted, with a lot of love and effort put in to it. It has all the best things from every heist movie you’ve ever seen; gorgeous hand-drawn graphics and animations; satisfying gameplay full of strategy, tactical decisions and the thrill of the chase.

This game may not look like much, but it hides a briliant experience underneath. They just don't make them like this anymore. So whether you're a newcomer to the Adventure game genre or a lover of old LucasArts games - don't let this game pass you by. Give it a try.

I was skeptical at first myself, since I knew nothing of the game's Kickstarter or creators. A friend of mine generously gifted this game to me and I'm now etremely grateful to her.

The humor in this game is unique and snarky. It's tale is dorky and bizare in all the right places. At the end, I was left with a burning desire for more.

I love how the game challenges you and yet stays logical - no need to use everything on everything like in the old days
The characters and dialog are hilariously creative. Ransome is now one of my favorite characters <3
The voice acting is awesome, full of character and makes the game 10 times better than it would be without it

If you love puzzles, witty dialog and games that respect your time - this one is a must-have! I highly recomend "Thimbleweed Park" to any and all players.
