It's a contemplative game that takes it's time and has a slow pace. If you played Firewatch, Ethan Carter, Dear Esther or Everybody's Gone to the Rapture you'll recognize the vibe this game has. It's more entertaining than a walking simulator, but still requires you take your time. A great game for relaxing and taking in the scenery.

My personal experience was mixed. I enjoyed it and took my time exploring, filling in the journal and learning as much as I could about the world. A lot of work went into making this game polished and interesting. It's unique and interesting. I would highly recommend it for people who enjoy these kinds of games. I don't regret spending my time playing it. But it also has it's weak points.

I had to try hard to understand and like the tone of the game and its themes.

The game stumbles when introducing its world and keeping a consistent tone. One moment it sounds like real life, the next moment you're looking at highly stylized characters that look like caricatures. It's jarring and feels weird, almost unnecessary. At first, I thought the whole mind sickness thing was just a metaphor, but it turns out it's a real thing in this world. What was the game trying to say, why was this important, what are the rules of this world? I'm still not sure I understand.

Same with the dialog. For the most part characters speak like normal people. But then there are moments when they say confusing pretentious nonsense that is meant to sound deep. Maybe it doesn't work for me because I'm a very grounded person. I just wish it had a consistent tone and expressed its ideas in simpler terms. You don't need special or vague language to be deep.

As a minor mechanics improvement, I also wish there were more pages option for the journal. I took so many photos and recordings that I consistently ran out of space to put them in.

A fantastically well done game! It takes great elements from several good games like Transistor, Hitman GO and Invisible Inc. Combines them together elegantly in to a well paced puzzle game that is never dull or repetitive. I highly recommend it!

Reky is incredibly stylish and clever. A hidden gem of a puzzle game.
Despite its minimalist presentation it manages to put you in a relaxed and contemplative mood.
I highly recommend trying it for the unique visual presentation and great quality.

Personally, I kept thinking that this is like Ghibli "Spirited Away" the dark and depressing version. I ran through the game 2 times to see if I missed anything. Unfortunately the collectibles have no effect on the game or plot, which disappointed me - it makes them pointless. The story is the same every time.
Some design decisions made playing the game frustrating, like savepoints that are too far off from the challenge that you keep dying in. Controls that require you to keep 3 buttons pressed at the same time while under time pressure. Unskippable 10 minute credits roll! WTH?! Some collision glitches and AI cheating when you do something that you're not supposed to. A very vague sense of story.

I'm happy that this is a short game or those nitpicks of mine would have accumulated in to major annoyances. Overall, I don't regret playing the game. It's a very unique visual experience. But I'm also glad I did not buy it full price. It would have been a waste for me.

It’s a wonderfully atmospheric survival and exploration open-world game. If you enjoy exploring wild, dangerous lands, Vikings and medieval themes – this is the perfect game for you.
I’m an exploration and building kind of person and the game is perfectly fine with that. Whether you follow the path before you or do your own thing – this game has things you can sink hours in to. Highly recommended especially for multiplayer.

An interesting game full of choices, pressure, a time mechanic and charm in an dark and broody setting. I enjoyed my time with the game.

It’s wonderful to be able to play this game again, without a PS3.
Sure, it’s not as spectacular as the original, but it’s close enough to still enjoy racing through lush green fields. Makes me feel 4 years old and running at top speed through the grass just because it feels fun.
A relaxing game that I recommend for anyone looking to switch off and get away from the doom and gloom.

If you like this version of the game, definitely check out the original on PS3 – it’s much more gorgeous and breathtaking.

I’m a veteran player, so on the one hand, I can’t believe how much of this game is missing in the PC port. On the other – I’m extremely thankful to SONY and everyone involved for making this happen. Journey was a PS3 exclusive and relies on that hardware for some very specific effects and behaviors. I admit, I never dreamed of seeing it on PC.
I’m enjoying it now and it makes me want to replay the original, which I plan to do in the future <3

A charming platformer game with treasures to collect, story to experience and beautiful environments to explore. If that sounds like your cup of tea, give this game a try.
Personal experience:
I think the idea for the game’s twist was born before a single asset was made. The game knows it is telling a dramatic story, but for new players it comes off as just weird or pretentious. In the first hour when the music swells with emotion, I have no idea why. It’s pretty, sure. But so what? Why should I care? This is what has been going through my mind as I played the game.
It borrows heavily from Journey, Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, Tomb Raider. It desperately wants to be just as deep, but comes off as juvenile. I don’t regret playing this game. It’s beautiful, it’s well done. I wish it was just a bit more well executed as a whole.

Great neon-bathed racing game with a heavy emphasis on tricks, jumps and flips. The levels and community content are diverse and there’s always new tricks to try and new music tracks to enjoy. If you love cyberpunk, racing and performing flips and tricks at high speed – give this game a try. It’ll leave your heart racing.
