It's an ok game if you haven't been listening to the hype. It's a nice and simple space sandbox that can help you kill a few hours when you don't want to invest much brainpower in to your game.
It's no Minecraft and depending on your preferences, you may find it relaxing and maybe even fun. I found that despite all the visuals, it has very shallow gameplay. You'll start playing it with enthusiasm, but realize after a few hours that you've seen and done everything that is fun to do. It's a bit of a mindless timekiller, which is a shame. Lost potential.

What a chilling experience of a game!
ECHO is a MUST! If you are in to atmospheric games. It will not leave you indifferent – I guarantee it!
It reminded me of the movie “Cell” – haunting atmosphere, danger and unknowns at every corner.
The beginning of the game is executed flawlessly – this is how you build your narrative and start a game. It’s intriguing, it’s challenging, it allows for different types of play and it creates stunning environments with the minimum of resources. It’s unique gameplay will always have something new to teach you and you will never feel like you’ve mastered it.

I highly recommend playing it!

This is primarily a game where you manage limited resources through a complicated series of transformations. It has tons and heaps of charm and character. There are spreadsheets, data points, graphs and everything in between, so if that sounds like your thing – go for it! You’ll have fun exploring, planning, managing and coming up with optimal ways to design things. You can find your own fun in the myriad of systems the devs have designed. There’s nothing like it on the market.
My experience has been mixed as I am a player who enjoys exploration and doesn’t like to delve too deep in to resource management. I’ve installed and uninstalled the game many time, I expect to do so many many times over. It’s not a fulfilling experience, yet it draws you in like a magnet and there is always something to do in the game. It’s the most charming and lovable time-sink.

You’ll love the game if you like board games and are looking for a fun way to spend an hour.
The animations are great, the graphics are what attracted me to it in the first place – they are endlessly charming, and the multiplayer will bring variety to every play session.

My personal experience was mixed as for some reason I never caught on that this was a board game and what I saw on screenshots was all there is. This means that the gameplay soon became very formulaic for me and the one hour sessions a bore. I still enjoyed it for it’s art and charming character.

If you enjoy programming, want to get in to it or just love a good puzzle - this game is for you. It's like having a textbook made in to a game with excellent humor and lovable characters.

A perfect game for lovers of complex stories, believable characters and refreshingly smart writing.
It’s an ambitious game, delivered by a small team to the best of their abilities. Keep in mind, this is not a 20+ million dollar production, so the graphics/animation do not get close to AAA game standards, but they don’t need to.

For those who are new to the series:
This game series has a tendency to make you fall in love with its characters and world. It boasts writing that is absent from most other games – not bound by conventions, clichés or story tropes.
If you haven’t played the previous two games, I suggest picking them up or watching a playthrough – you will get the most out of the story this way.

For those familiar with the series:
Don’t be afraid to pick this up. I was initially worried by the amount of criticism I saw for this game – my fears were laid to rest. The writing does not shy away from challenging themes and the game execution is not perfect – don’t let that keep you from experiencing it. Whether you like it or hate it – it will not leave you unaffected.

Personally, I am incredibly grateful to be able to experience this world and story again. I played all the games in the series and waited for this conclusion for almost 20 years. I love these characters so much and empathize with them on so many levels. The stories told in these three games and the struggles of their protagonists will stay with me for the rest of my life.

What an epic tale of a game!
I was drawn to it by the unique gorgeous visuals. But the biggest surprise was the wonderful atmosphere the game has, with it’s music setting the tone and visuals reminiscent of nostalgic games.
Give this game a chance and it’ll blow you away with a unique and solidly crafted experience.

Make sure to replay it a few different ways – you’ll be surprised how different your experience can be.

A stunningly beautiful game, especially in VR. The sights and sounds do not disappoint. I enjoyed my experience with the game and the worlds it contains.
