The early part of the game is super fun, especially if done with no knowledge. The discovery and growth process is maybe the most intriguing part of the game, and the depth of crafting and building systems is really satisfying to gradually unlock and make use of.

The problem comes with the grind. Between bosses you basically enter a level up and grind phase which is fine, it's cool to level up, but these phases are not short and after I beat the first few bosses everything started feeling like a chore. You have to go to these special non renewable locations for every material, you need to lug them along all the way back using a boat instead of the portals, and if you ever sequence break and happen across an area you aren't prepared for you're gonna get one shot by whatever is there and lose everything. If there was more to do during these level up phases maybe it wouldn't feel like so much of a grind, just something more engaging than heaving away in mines or whatever. Or upgrades to increase material yield from a source, idk.

The challenge of it can be fun but the real fun comes from the discovery and boss battling, not grinding for hours getting metals and whatever else you need for expensive upgrades. I had lots of fun with the parts I enjoyed, I really hope future development smooths out the experience a bit so that I can come back and play more.

really good game, the first arkham game i decided to 100% (still not done the riddler trophies yet, but I'll get there eventually). especially if you can grab it while it's on sale, it's one heck of a deal

Good game, flips are fun

Great game for to play with freinds. My favourite part is that it's like Minecraft, but also like Halo, but also like Black Ops Zombies, my favourite games. Please add racecars though, my favourtie game is Forza and if this game had racecars it would be my favourite.
