The story really isn't that great, it feels broken in pieces and aren't connected well between chapters, one second ago Angela is enemy, next he wants us to help him fight, I was confused the whole time.
something doesn't add up
It is, in fact, not half-baked, nor poorly put together. This is a *dramatically* better game than the original, and plenty of thought clearly went into making something good from the original design ideas. If your perception of games via YT is this bad, perhaps you'd do better to just not watch YT videos of games anymore. To compare this to, say, Chrono Cross's re-release is just completely detached from reality.
