Trully one of the best Metroidvanias of our generation. Let's begin:

1. Aesthetics- So gourgeous to look at and give the fanart of the game that feeling that the artists are following the incredible groundwork that Ari Gibson made.

2. Music- Cristopher Larkin's score just fits so good with the game. Ambient and calm for the world and exciting for the bosses.

3. Enemies- Although most bosses are great in this regard I will take a point off of here. Things like Flukemarm, Massive Moss Charger and Soul Warrior don't really feel like a boss. Outside of outliers like that the bosses are great to fight. From Mantis Lords to Nightmare King Grimm, to Pure Vessel, it all feels so good to play because of...

4. Controlls- I am a M&K user but I can say that both M&K and Controller feel so good to use. Doesn't matter what you will always get responsive actions from the player character which helps with how tight the dodging of attacks can get in some of the later bosses

5. Lore- My god. I don't know what the guys at Team Cherry were smoking when writing the lore, but they got the good stuff for sure. It takes hours upon hours to find out everything you think you can about the game and then you discover something new behind a breakable wall which flips the script you had in your head upsidedown. It is cryptic, and really allows people to make their own interpretations on events outside of the main quest involving the Black Egg temple.

Overall this is my favorite game of all time for sure and I will always remember playing it fondly. I hope that Silksong is as good or even better than Hollow Knight but while waiting if you haven't bought the game already and played it and you are still reading this what are you doing? Go get the game, get a few friends to voice act with you if you want, and experience a game that trully is one of the best.
