As much as I want to enjoy the game, it gave us both a MASSIVE headache due to the graphic/FOV and apparently I'm not alone in this, it's happened to a lot of other people as well. There are no HD texture mods to smooth this problem out and I've had a migraine for a little bit. Games normally don't do that to us, this has been the first time we've had that happen.

Apparently there's no intention to fix this issue based on the search that I did regarding a texture fix/FOV fix. Attempting to refund it.

I know what you're going to say, "16.1 Hours played? That's not enough for a review." you're right I'm still trucking through the game and honestly I'm going to voice my opinion anyway.
Take my review with a grain of salt as I entirely agree with xXDragonSlayerPrincessXx's review

This game is HEAVILY escort based as the primary way to level up is to retrieve survivors and bring them back to the safe house, however it's such a pain when one of your survivors gets snagged by a zombie and you realize that they've been left a little behind so you have to wait for them to catch up. Staying still makes zombies group on you and going to free that one survivor so they tag along a little faster kind of causes you to get tangled up into their mess.

Boss battles will kick you in the teeth pretty hard, especially that the game doesn't give you much warning that it's a boss fight. Players may find that some Psychopaths move quick and can rough them up pretty quickly, and some you have to "cheese" out and pray that they get stuck. I.E: the motorcycle boss fight, you can't drive your bike into him and he takes damage like a brick wall. I had to get him stuck on the fountain area and whittle him down with a flame thrower.

The game also will treat the player quite unfairly when you're up against armed enemies as guns will almost ALWAYS hit you even if you're moving out of the line of fire, every bullet hits if you don't dodge perfectly and even then rolling to dodge isn't unlocked off the bat. This becomes a huge problem when the game hits the point where there are four snipers in the main street and you not only have to deal with Big Earl and Friends but the zombies in the plaza as well. Imagine getting grabbed then sniped at only to take damage from both enemies, falling down just to get up and have a few seconds of time to get out of the way only to get popped and dropped again by Big Earl.

These are just some of the issues, combat feels a little clunky as your character can't just spam attacks. A swing and a miss is.. well a swing and a miss, it's as if you swung your bat to crack a head missed and react far too late to prepare the next swing and instead what you get is grabbed. Did I mentioned timed missions? You're given waypoints to do things however everything is timed, and you've got to know where you're going as getting lost costs valuable seconds and honestly the map doesn't really help. There are "short cuts" to travel the map but they're out of the way and it'll waste your time and you won't be able to complete all the objectives not at-least on your first run.

DO NOT MISS STORY OBJECTIVES. You'll have to start over. That's what I had to do, and on the second round I knew what I was doing however at a certain point I was still struggling to keep up with all the objectives and the little time given to do them, new missions pop up at the worst times and may even become a hindering thing.

All in all, if you want to buy this game, buy it on sale. Full price is.. asking for a bit much.

This is more like a Facebook game, and the costs for things is nuts. Not to mention it glitches up quite often if you don't follow the actions it requests from you. Also, the registration for an account is rather dumb as well. Fun for a while but then there are too many things going on to understand everything, just basically this game is a puzzle with lots of bells and whistles. Pass.

I can honestly say that this game is at-least worth trying, personally it's one of my all time favorites.
A lot of time and consideration has been put into this game over many years, even now it's still being polished and fine tuned accordingly. With cosmetics galore and incoming maps the game is back to being fresh with the latest updates and it appears that new life is being breathed into it with each passing update. With item drops and trades there is no pay to win system and there are plenty of members in the community who can provide videos and tutorials for a new player to learn. Give it a shot, you won't regret it if you really stick to it.
