I seen a review that said this was Takeshi's Castle, but it's Takeshi's Castle with jelly beans.

My whole family took turns playing this for 3 hours. It's great.

Beautiful game. The watercolor artwork, the soothing lo-fi, and the sweet but sad story. This is another one of those games about choices and the difference they can make. It's rather short and completely free, so you lose nothing giving it a go, besides maybe a couple of tears. I look forward to playing more from this developer.

I had a nice, long detailed review, and then they changed a lot of the core mechanics of the game... Again, lol. So in lieu of that, if you like cat & mouse games, or ♥♥♥♥ that's gonna make you scream with your friends, get it. If you're the type who wants to be the very best at a game, either you'll love the dedication that takes, or hate the game in it's entirety. It's really best to approach it from a fun rather than serious angle. Meme builds, silly costumes, and being mori-ed by Ghostface are some highlights for me. The game is at it's best in the beginning though, when it might actually give you a little scare.

Voted Labor of Love 2024.

Instead of mixing drinks & saving lives, you're brewing them. Not to say it's as good as VA-11, that would be quite a feat, but it does scratch that itch it left many of us. Instead of a dark neon bar in a dystopian future talking about societal issues, you're in a warm colored cafe with a constant rainy background, talking about modern day societal issues reflected in an alternate universe, where many species (werewolves, vampires, humans of course, & so on) coexist together.

And while I appreciate the takes on race & immigration; the idea behind what they were trying to demonstrate -- it's simply not the best writing I've ever seen, but on the flip side, it's not the worst. I got a few chuckles here & there; it's just a slow burn sort of story. However, the original lo-fi soundtrack, the art work, the entire atmosphere, makes this game worth playing to me. I recommend sitting down with a cup of your favorite hot beverage on a rainy day to play.

Early Access Review
For a game that's not finished, in it's current state it has a lot of content. Since they have plans to add even more, I think it's worth the price. It does have a steep learning curve, but once you know what you want to do, RNG is the only problem you'll face time and again. Skills (or cards, as they call them) become available in a random set of three each time you level up a character. You're never guaranteed to get any certain skill, equipment, buff, etc.

Also that music is oompf. Love it.

Looking forward to seeing how this game will progress.

Early Access Review
It's like a new version of Monopoly, but not exactly. If you crave a Monopoly game though, because God knows none of the official ones are worth a crap, I'd try it. It's still in early access so there's a lot of things being added and fixed up. Online mode is not available yet, but it does have remote play that's kind of janky. Better as a single player for now. English translations can still be a bit rough, so maaaaaaaaaaybe if that bothers you skip it until it's finished. They're really not -that- bad though.

And of course, if you like Touhou, I'd say go for it. The story so far has cute little comics. The characters are very much themselves, I think. I'm not a Touhou expert, they just seem to be accurate from what I know of them.

If you're a fan of 100% Orange Juice, and you're coming from that community of anime and board games, I think it's worth your time. It's a nice little switch in styles of board games. I still think OJ is better made, with more in-depth mechanics and a huge time sink. However this game still isn't done so who knows what the future holds for it.

My kids, my husband, and I all enjoy the heck out of this game. One of us isn't much of a gamer & the other three of us are crazy into games, but not usually the same kind. It's a solid, fun choice for all sorts of folks. And thanks to the modding community it's basically endless.

So my husband & I are currently seeing who can put together puzzles faster, & it's still a relaxing experience! It's a pretty well made game, and even with just the freebie packs there's hours & hours here of play. If you like jigsaws, I'd say 9/10. There's probably some fine tuning they could do, but nothing that actually gets in the way of enjoyment.

This does not have a single player mode as it falsely advertised, and since it refuses to connect to Steam servers, I requested a refund. Not to mention with default settings you can't even read the cards due to bad resolution quality. And what was that tutorial?

Seems half baked to me.
