I wish I had understood that this is a glorified spot-the-difference game before buying.

Anomalies are kinda interesting at first but apparently they only happen once. I guess it makes sense, but some of the anomalies are really hard to spot (I blame my tired parent brain).

So after you see all the interesting anomalies you're off to the races, trying to look for stains on the ceiling or whatever.

Yeah. So no.

One of the best games I've played :) It's so chill to explore and craft stuff.

There is no other game quite like it. Too bad!

Noita is a fun game but not without it's flaws. It's really fun to get a powerful perk + wand combo and obliterate enemies. However, RNG is really heavily present and sometimes you only get crappy perks and wands.

And when you die, that's it. It doesn't matter how well you did in your run since nothing carries over into your next run. You're back in the grind-y first level wasting your life trying to grind gold from the easy mobs. I hope the developers somehow address this.

Can't join servers. I get a black screen and eventually a timeout message. Wasted two hours of my life googling for answers. Sad!

***EDIT***
I've updated my review. In the old review I lamented on the poor technical performance of the game. This have been fixed!
***EDIT***

I started this game after finishing terraria. Sadly, this game does not live up to it. Small annoyances (no mini-map, can't find where you died), dull worlds and a meh story. I've given this game a fair try.

If you haven't played terraria, play that instead!

I really enjoyed Ryse: Son of Rome. It's a very polished and enjoyable experience. The player is taken through some pretty epic places and events, and the voice acting and animations make the characters very enjoyable to watch!

God of War fans are most likely going to be disappointed because the gameplay in Ryse is pretty casual. For me however it worked very well! It's a bit like watching a movie with gameplay bits in between.

The only cons I can think of are the mandatory, uninteresting sequences where the player has to shoot certain targets with a mounted crossbow. Don't know why this mechanic had to be in the game.. Luckily they were over pretty quickly.

Also there was no feeling that the ending was rushed or cheaply done (as is the case with many games). Enjoyed it from beginning to end!

A great little game! Love the idea, the art style and the fresh gameplay.

It has some annoyances and gets a little repetitive after a while, but for such a low price it's well worth it!
