Early Access Review
Doesn't work all that well. UI bugs out often and AI rarely want to follow priority for tasks. Lot of functionality is also unfinished or just doesn't work as described.

Rather enjoyable game that is very easy to sink time without notice. Does take a bit of thought to setup crafting chains and make money. Especially with how easy it is to neg on transport costs. Only real complaint about the game is lack of water pipes for factories and the need to move water by trucks.

Very solid game give it a 9/10.

Visually it looks amazing with good detail in the levels and decent looking mobs to fight. The gore visuals are good without being over kill. Body parts can fall off and blood gets everywhere.

The fighting mechanics feel smooth. With a good mix of close and ranged combat. Different weapons provide a small difference in combat experience. Though with the massive waves of enemies it tends to be a meat grinder experience. Which is fine for this style of game that reminds me a lot of left for dead but with swords.

As for performance the game is rather good. I'm running an old machine with settings on high without much issues. Though I do recommend vsync to prevent overheating and frame drops. Other than that no major issues with bugs or physics.

Been waiting for this game to go on sale for a while. Love how amazing it looks and gameplay I've seen online showed it as amazing. As a 40K fan it matches perfectly with what I expect from the visual style of the lore.

However, the multiplayer is a bit rough and could use more polishing.Movement is really slow, sprint doesn't last long, hp is low enough to get one shot by explosives, there is no HP regen or healing mechanics outside of someone being a medic, weapons don't feel very powerful and are not very diverse for some classes, ability cooldowns are really long, enemies swarm or peck at range, reloading feels clumsy, weapon jamming adds nothing to the challange, and respawning is a nightmare with 1 instance being 8 mins for respawn after not dying the entire level. Also hacking seems to be completely unusable and objectives feel poorly thought out. Litterally had to walk to the end of a pipe just to walk back out doing nothing.

As context: It took us a dozen tries to get through the first chapter with 2 people on the lowest difficulty. Right off the start of the level you are harassed by long range enemies in a wide open room. Before we could figure out where to go one of us was already down with a 240 second respawn timer. Shortly followed by the second person to a beam cannon hidden in the upper decks of the room. We repeated this a few times finally figuring out where to go only to get killed by explosive units or purely overwhelmed by numbers. Eventually we made it to the end of the chapter after finding a good combination of weapons. Me running medic with a hellfire and my buddy using a plasma cannon. Even though it was touch and go due to the pure unit spam. We cheesed the ending by bunkering down in one of the assault pods to keep from being flanked.

Now the second level was much better but still felt meh. The only saving grace of this is that the game looks amazing. The bell room of the first chapater kept me retrying to beat the level. As it looked amazing and the fact you could shoot it felt amazing. Really wish they staged a boss fight in this room as I think it would have felt much nicer then the generator room swarm or the final command deck swarm..... ya this game is mostly swarms of enemies with minimal actual challange.

Very good game with a lot of customization options and good solid content. Does feel rough at times due to team work being required but in those moments you can have some enjoyable experiences. Such as plowing into the middle of the enemy team with an assault in a 6 vs 1 taking them all down with but a flesh wound.

Originally while in early accessed I wouldn't have recommended this game. As it had performance issues, lag spikes, massive memory issues, and physics breakage. However, after a series of improvements and patches the game decent now.

It still has a long way to go to be great. The drones that act as enemies still need more work. Early one they simply acted as annoyances. In which they would randomly spawn, attack, and ram your ships due to poor setup scripts. Recently it has improved with better pathing and some scripts to cause the drones to run away. Which is impressive considering its all done in the game and not through external code.

The physics of the game have greatly improved since early in development. It uses to be that rotation of the planet would kill the player. As well that cars would randomly bounce around or start flying. Current version its good for the most part with the only problems being spring force that can throw the cars around. This is more of a configuration issue on the player's part as the wheels can have a lot of energy if set to 100%.

Ships do fine most days with the main issue being fuel now. As the main world seems to lack uranium requiring early ships to be battery or hydrogen powered. Not horrible but enough of a challenge to limit gameplay.

Great game but can be unbalanced at times. Especially with the AIs almost always cheating and not having a point limit.
