I thought I didn't like rogue-like games because you lose everything, but after playing GOW Valhalla, then this...I LOVE ROGUE-LIKES NOW.

Buy the game, very fun, rewarding, you learn every loop. Live. Play. Die. Repeat.

So you're looking to buy a brand new game and you come across the game that has the most game awards ever. Hm, but this is the third game in the franchise isn't it? So how can I play this without playing the other two games. Well, this game doesn't really require you to play the other two games. You can easily gain the context from all the characters and their stories as you play the game, and plus the other two games as I've heard of are NOTHING compared to this masterpiece.

So what makes this a masterpiece? Well first things first, story and gameplay. Those two elements in my opinion go hand to hand together. You can't have a successful game without one or the other, you have to have BOTH.
Story: After 48 hours of writing this review the story is amazing and intriguing at least to me it is. Geralt of Rivia, the Witcher (aka the guy in the cover) is looking for his adopted daughter, Ciri, from the enemy called The Wild Hunt. I'm just going to leave it at that. Not going to spoil any more details. But, what makes the story so compelling is the side story arcs. Geralt isn't the only person with a story to discover or to tell. SO many NPCs with their side quest have their stories to tell and it's just not about the Wild Hunt. It's more about the WORLD of this game if that makes sense. The main story itself is intriguing and very good, but what makes the story overall is how the side quests are also intriguing as the main quests. Believe me, I've played tons of singleplayer games and their side stories are not as intriguing as the Witcher 3 Wild Hunt is.

Gameplay: I played with a keyboard and mouse throughout the game, and honestly I liked the combat gameplay with a keyboard. However, I did hear using a controller would make things much easier, so if you're into that then plug your controller in and fight. The leveling system and the gear system is very well polished. As you level up, you can see Geralt getting stronger and stronger, because you unlock more skill points and skill slots, as well as the gear you loot getting stronger with your level. Overall, I think the only thing I would complain about are some clunky mechanics. Sometimes I would be trying to loot a deadbody right below a torch and Geralt would just ignite the torch and get stuck in between. Or like how I would ride Geralt's horse (Roach) and sometimes if he came across a obstacle he would stop and just lose momentum..it just gets annoying sometimes.

VERDICT: 10/10 with some complaints about mechanics, but who the hell cares. PLAY THIS GAME!

This game is basically Super Smash Bros. but it involves more skill, with the dodging and dashing. Nonetheless the game is fun if you play for fun. If you play competitvely, sure this game is also for you, but you're probably going to rage a lot. This game is fun as long as you don't take it seriously, and if you want to get better, play against a friend who's better than you, so you learn from him/her. But anyways, it's free! Give it a shot guys!

So, you're thinking about buying a game that has space dogfights, no microtransactions, amazing infantry combat, extra terrestial characters, tons of maps, tons of game modes, instant action, an interesting campaign, and uh- actually ill let you see for yourself, this game is just pure gold. PURE gold. Don't bother buying the EA star wars battlefront 2, because that game is nowhere close to success as this game. You're going to have non-stop fun with everything in this game. 10/10.
