marathon was originally called rescout (colonle got mad at me lol) and was an expert mission on sharp

revision 1 was made during when i was a wee baby at mission making so the mission was practically a clone of mannslaughter and that didn't work out

revision 2 was okay, it was just boring. maybe if marathon was extended perhaps i'd use revision 2's version of marathon wave 2's tank giant heavy medic section. it also had a giant burst demo burst at the wave end but who cares about generic potato boss #13134. it was the revision that renamed the mission to marathon instead of rescout

revision 3 was hell, it was lazily made and you were fighting multiple squads of hard ai heavies and burst soldiers for w1 with only 800 cash. it also had an boss explode on ignite pyro that can switch to flamethrower and had flare gun support in w3

revision 4 was when i added overclocks (the og marathon overclocks were boring and lazily made) and during midway development i switched to rottenburg, made the overclocks into what they are now and collabed with sargent table to extend w1 and make w4 (his w1 was replaced with the giant pyro + vaccinator medic and giant sticky + vaccinator medic subwaves). however he did create dave (he made the bot, i just renamed it dave and it became a meme). during when i was in hospital, i submitted the mission to the qa team to process the mission and when i was out of the hospital, i revamped the mission and made w5. it's the revision when i swapped the expert label to adv

before overclocks were introduced in holographic harvest, i used to use modify weapons directly and the balance was questionable (scattergun was buffed to have a flat 20% pellet bonus and sandman able to deal thousands of damage in sucession)

if i had more time, i would have made the boss more interesting since i was in a somewhat tight deadline (1 week for the environment, 1 week to make the actual boss itself) (i work slow btw because of my motivation)
