Risk is one of those games that plays way too slowly with a physical board. This adaptation speeds the game up drastically and makes it a lot more fun, especially if you turn off animations and make good use of the keyboard. It also includes lots of variations and maps, which is another advantage over the original.

Early Access Review
Lots of tables available at a pretty low cost, good physics, nice graphics. I have run into some minor technical problems with the game that pop up error dialogs and require me to exit and re-select a table to get it run at a normal frame rate. I also find that most of the tables are a bit difficult and drain-happy, which makes them a really good choice for quick games, but not so much if you want to settle in and play for a while on three balls.

This is a fun way to kill some time. The rules aren't terribly complicated, and starting a game of Koi Koi isn't a huge time commitment.

My only real objections are that I bought the "Koi Koi Enjoy Pack" DLC, only to have them release an update that completely disables this DLC and the fact that chasing after the achievements for many of the rarer hands would be extremely time consuming.
