ReEDIT: It has come to my attention that Sony has listed countries that can not make PSN accounts to be blocked from purchase of Helldivers 2. It was quick and easy to block the sale, but seems to be a herculean task to turn it back on. Review is staying negative until they get their ♥♥♥♥ together and return the game to all helldivers.

EDIT: It seems that Sony has decided to rescind their previous stance with linking Steam accounts to PSN. It is worded in a way that makes me think they might try something like this later on down the line, but for now it is a big win for us consumers. Hope to see my fellow helldivers out in force.

The game is fun, and the team at Arrowhead are doing a good job (some pitfalls here and there) at updating and releasing content for us to play. If it wasn't for Sony coming in and demanding PSN linking to Steam accounts 4 months after release, I would undoubtedly recommend this game to all. Since I play on the PC platform, and have no intentions to make an account for PSN, I have to give my recommendation to NOT get this game. Helldiver, signing off.

I am really stuck between my love and hate for this game. My pve experience for this game is great! The graphics are awesome, 60 fps over 30 makes a huge difference aswell, the enemies will surprise you with additional moves to throw off your timing, and the combat system is almost as good as the last one (for me). The addition of duel wielding with power stance really gave people alot of new combat styles to explore while lower durability on weapons helped with players trying new weapons (even if they were just to kill the enemies up to boss rooms). The main problem I had with the game is how they made the game "hard". Not trying to give away spoilers, lets just say their version of hard is to make an enemy you have already encountered either stronger, have additional mobs, or both. Sometimes the fights would get downright frustrating because of a random turn of fate (like 3 mobs jumping you at the same time), rather then a lack of skill. In the first dark souls, I knew that when I died, it was because I was at fault. Pvp is where a lot of my hate comes from. Although the lag is something to be complained about, its nothing game breaking (sometimes =p) and with enough practice you will learn to fight with the lag. The pvp that I WANTED to have was with my character going through new areas of the game under fear that I will have to not only worry about the new enemies, but the players wishing nothing more then my death. I didn't get any invasions during my first playthrough. NONE. Atleast in the first one you can invade people fairly early and regularly. Overall, my love of the new game kept me going through 3 playthroughs and a good amount of pvp (dragonbro's and red soap), but the lack of fun pvp during my playthoughs and consistant nerfs to anything deem'ed too over powered (like santier's spear and buff's) just keeps bringing me back to Dark Souls.
