Still needs a bit of polish, but it's fun, and scratching a few different itches.

It's NOT XCOM3.

The missions are a lot faster, a lot tighter, and generally have very little in the way of 'quiet time'. You kick in the door, shoot til everyone is dead, and then immediately set up for the next fight. No creeping around the map looking for pods.

There are a few bugs now just after launch. I had one ceiling that decided to be opaque for a turn, which was annoying, and there's no 'remove' option for items in the item selection menu which has been my biggest complaint. You have to take the character out of the APC and then 'make items available', so be careful if you put any items on an android.

One of my favorite things about Rimworld is seeing how many different ways people play it. It's very customizable with an awesome mod community.

This game has changed a LOT since Alpha and there are still a lot of bitter people. It's definitely worth checking out.

I've had the game since the kickstarter and it's definitely had it's low points and I had my doubts but getting back to playing again, and it's got all the same spirit as it originally had, but the team has obviously started to discover their mistakes and tried to fix them. There's something to be said that they kept trying and didn't quit when they had to rebuild the engine.

This put me way behind on playing a lot of games I had on my list that came out recently. It's a great addition to the Hitman series.

The 1st Season 'campaign' has a great set of levels with a lot of options for completing the mission. The replayability of the levels is pretty awesome as well. Completing opportunities and challenges make each replay feel a bit different, but as you play, you learn the levels and find new an interesting tidbits that can help you go a bit further, while mastery unlocks new options for starting the level. And once you feel like you have gotten everything down, you can switch to professional difficulty to throw a wrench into everything you thought you knew.

Custom Contracts and progressive missions aren't quite as good as new levels, as it's fairly obvious that most of the targets aren't meant to be difficult to reach, but they do add some interesting flavor as well as giving people an opportunity to challenge each other.

Better than the previous games in some ways, and worse in others. I feel like a lot of the dungeon mechanics are improved, but it loses a lot of the trapping and defending aspects due to the fact that the good guys always beeline straight to your core, so there's no point in even bothering with a complex dungeon. By the end, each entrance to my dungeon looked exactly alike, which meant there wasn't much replay-ability once I finished the Campaign, though the time I did play was fun.

If you enjoy the style of game, it's worth it, but it's not a great introduction to the dungeon master style games for anyone else.

Civ has always been the game I go back to when I finish up other games. It's a great time killer for when I'm out and about and ends up installed on every computer I game on.

So if you're looking for a version of XCOM as I was from other reviews, you may be a bit disappointed. I like the idea of the game spanning numerous generations, but in practice, it just meant that my heroes never lived long enough to fight more than a couple battles.

While it was a lot of fun to play, this game suffers from some serious bugginess, which we can assume at this point is how it's going to stay. From Trade caravans getting stuck forever, to enemies that don't seem to die when they should. At times, the story seems a bit forced as well.

If you like the Assassins creed games, it's worth your time, but if finish and polish is super important, you may go insane.

Early Access Review
A few hours in and so far it's been a lot of fun, and no crashes. Some of the dynamics could use a little polishing, but so far it's been great.
