Only for annoying "challenges" instead cool slasher i cant recommend this. I dont know why modern devs think that "challenges" is needed for any new retro game. Just made cool slasher/beatemup and thats enough.

Those who create "baseball" puzzle in this game go to hell. Thank you for ruining perfect beat'em up game. Absolutely not reccomend for those who thought that this game like the first one. Annoying "challenges" killed this game.

Too many boring platformer elements instead of atmosphere and story. This is not metroidvania now, this is Super Mario.

Well done game! Visual look of some characters is not so classical, but it's only problem i see in this remake and easily fixed by mods)

Especially i want to node about sound and controls - if you want more play at DualSense controller with vibro speakers. Bloober made so interesting vibration for gamepad so even for PC i reccomend to play this game with controller. And I additionally connected two vibro speakers and that atmospheric sound when you sense all silent whispers and loud noise around you so great! In this game its really works for atmospheric dive)

Nice retro shoot'em up. Modern and old good in one) For all Contra fans strongly recommend!

I expected game with some work on mistakes of first game, but devs make more mistakes than in first game. Not fun, more farm. Even dye colors in Warhammer(!!!) game with multiplayer and coop need farm.

But ok, there is some cool moments)

After hours in PVE-multiplayer (which is MAIN option of the game) i can recommend this only for fans.

- 3 long loadscreens before you can start the match and 17% chance you choose same class like other players and you wait again 2 long loading screens when you can start another match.
- constant server disconnects (after 3-4 switched match its 100% chance).
- forced class switch to another, when you join game where class you choose is already taken, after that (and loading screen of course) you should move to sclass switch area where you should wait when switch store sloowly go down from above

My record is about 20 minutes switching and loading pauses when i found acceptable match.

Very boring farm system for 6 classes and about 15 types of weapon each when most effective method is farm only one mission where you know all +XPboost places and have minimal chance to die and lost it.

And, for my opinion, meele system as absolutely crap. You should you can lost 90% heath for one small mistake and for 1-2 hits from one enemy and there is no enemies around for which you can restore health back because your teammates killed them all.

Last patch reminds me Helldivers 2 "balance changes" (nerf and difficulty increase). So changed review to negative. Hope, SM2 will not repeat path of Helldivers 2.

Too sad receiving this "game" like released. I can only said, this is a piece of game which could be an interesting project. It just cropped demo with big potential.
Hope, devs will made a full complete game on this interesting base with nice pixel-art style. Right now its only for refund, sorry.
