I'm not very far into the game, but so far the controls are simplistic but somewhat lacking in variety of skills/attacks etc. Either all of the characters are more relaxed than stoners, or the scripting is ♥♥♥♥. They're just walking around and talking to each other in the middle of siege and intense combat. There's like a two second pause between each dialog and a lot of visual glitches. I don't know, just expected better planning from a game that feels so linear. I watched the gameplay on YouTube instead and the story was pretty good. The gameplay itself is just dated.

I got it on sale for $1.49, worth it I'd say. 7.5/10

Definitely the best of the series. EA uses a license management system with this game that has a finite usage, and neither EA or Steam will assist resetting the limit anymore. Not a problem for people who never change computers or don't replay this many times, but if you do, just expect it eventually.

Interesting challenge for fast-paced players, hilarious battle for friends. It's just a parkour racing game where you practice perfection.

Viciously bugged and terribly optimized. Running on such an old engine is a good excuse for such disgusting graphics, but I've heard people brag about the graphics. What a joke. Aside from the terrible controls and visuals, lack of story and tedious stretches of inactivity between anything interesting happening - the players in this game are 9/10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Some will literally sit on the edge of the spawns with snipers and kill new guys for hours. Servers marked as PvE are apparently not allowed, and can't be enforced (so troll PKs will flock to these PvE servers). Getting started into the game is hard enough, withstanding the ridiculous "realistic" survival limits. Last I played it constantly rained, which gave me hypo and killed me unless I stayed inside a house and starved to death. Every server, always. The zombies are honestly the least of your worries, it's finding the specific ammo for the 20 duplicate broken guns you have somewhere amongst the cities that have already been rummaged by players who don't need anything. The most fun you'll have in this game is making a friend or playing with a friend after you've gathered your gear. That is, until the game resets your progress or you randomly die from bumping a fence or something. Do yourself a favor and get the mod version of this. It will always be better than the standalone because the devs don't know what they should be fixing with the game apparently. The community does.
