Interesting challenge for fast-paced players, hilarious battle for friends. Racing games tend to feature repetitive styled competition focused to improve yourself and this is no different, really - it's like parkour Mario Kart. And karma. If you don't believe in karma, you will after you play this game.

I bought this game admittedly when I saw Pewdiepie play it. The game was still very early release and full of bugs and problems. It was a headache and I quit playing it, but now the game has progressed significantly and gets great support from the community. It's went from 4 characters to 29 with variants and hidden characters, 1 which has still not been unlockable yet. Originally 3 maps and (as I recall) 4 items, it now has 14 official maps and well over 10,000 downloadable maps, 8 items, and 7 custom gametypes.

My point is that these guys have made huge improvements to the game in a very short time, and it isn't even finished yet. Of the people I know, there has only been one person to not like this game (and I think it's because he loses a lot lol) There isn't really a way to explain but you'll make lots of friends and get consumed easily by this game if you like to improve based on your own skill, rather than xp and level ups or pay-to-play. I've bought this game for 6 different people and they all enjoyed it, too.

Viciously bugged and terribly optimized. Running on such an old engine is a good excuse for such disgusting graphics, but I've heard people brag about the graphics. What a joke. Aside from the terrible controls and visuals, lack of story and tedious stretches of inactivity between anything interesting happening - the players in this game are 9/10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Some will literally sit on the edge of the spawns with snipers and kill new guys for hours. Servers marked as PvE are apparently not allowed, and can't be enforced (so troll PKs will flock to these PvE servers). Getting started into the game is hard enough, withstanding the ridiculous "realistic" survival limits. Last I played it constantly rained, which gave me hypo and killed me unless I stayed inside a house and starved to death. Every server, always. The zombies are honestly the least of your worries, it's finding the specific ammo for the 20 duplicate broken guns you have somewhere amongst the cities that have already been rummaged by players who don't need anything. The most fun you'll have in this game is making a friend or playing with a friend after you've gathered your gear. That is, until the game resets your progress or you randomly die from bumping a fence or something. Do yourself a favor and get the mod version of this. It will always be better than the standalone because the devs don't know what they should be fixing with the game apparently. The community does.
