Grind grind grind, no payoff ever. Unless you want to spend a bunch of money, I guess. Typical Nexon ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. This time with knockoff Destiny mechanics.

It's like Vermintide, except better. Because more guns.

It's a bit easy for a game in its genre, but it knows what it is and delivers fully. Excited to try out ice cream in November, but as it is, it's a bit scant for things to do once you've unlocked all of the recipes (unless you care about achievements). I think I got my money's worth, especially considering there's more coming.

If you're not very good at time management games, get it at any price, the developer's price point is, in my opinion, right on for a game of it's scale. If you're quite good at them, or are interested in grinding out achievements, maybe wait for a small price reduction, as it's fairly straightforward and easy enough to complete both available campaigns.

And if you're having trouble completing either of the campaigns, here's a very simple tip to help you out: it is always worth it to have fewer types of cups. Pick up more advanced recipes which share cups, rather than picking up a bunch of easier ones that use different types.

These games are amazing. Way ahead of their time and just a whole boat load of fun. It's a shame they're being run via DOS, as the Amiga versions had the better graphics, but they're worth playing however you can. Definitely check out the NES version of Pool of Radiance if you can find it as well, that one has a soundtrack!

I love this game to death, I originally played it on a CD-ROM in the 2000's, and it's just as interesting and charming as it ever was. Highly recommend playing through the tutorials and campaign to fully experience the game's sense of humor.

If you're playing on a modern computer, switch on the beta in your steam config for some better hardware and resolution support. But honestly, play it at a smaller 3:4 resolution, because there aren't any GUI scale options and it's crazy hard to read at even 1080p.

Needs hit-stun or pushback like all of the Vampire Survivors clones. As it is, you take 20 hits whenever you take one. Even at free, you're better off shelling out a couple bucks for Vampire Survivors instead.

It's a nice game with a lovely art direction. It could use a little more narrative development, the story mode is charming and fun without being tedious or frustrating, but it leaves you wanting more. More from your wanderers, more room to expand your building area, more incentive to go track down the artefacts.

If you're worried about gameplay time to dollars spent, you'll want to pick it up on sale (I fully completed the story mode at my own relaxed pace in under 6 hrs). If you're the type of person who likes to turn up the difficulty and unlock all of the achievements, or who really enjoys sandbox modes in games, definitely pick it up at any price if the art and sound design have you interested already. The score mode and the ability to share seeds with other players means there's plenty to do if you're willing to do it.

Early Access Review
It's fun and not overly difficult on normal mode. Worth the asking price, a bargain on a discount.
