I've compiled a list of repeat questions and I believe that it would greatly help the community (and me) if some of these questions were placed in an easily visible spot.

1) How much does a Admin/Middlemen cost?
Admin/Middlemanning is generally free, but tips are greatly appreciated for the time and risk involved for the trade or item checking.
Admin/Middlemen’s methods vary from Middleman to Middleman, but you should always take the extra time to ensure that you are not trading with an imposter.

3) Does the Admin/Middleman hold onto the money for a paypal transaction?
The Admin/Middleman does NOT hold onto any money at any time of the transaction unless it is a Moneygram transaction. Holding the money in a transaction puts the Middleman at risk of liability if the buyer chooses to reverse or dispute a payment, so this is not common practice, and definitely unsafe for the Middleman.

4) What is the Admin/middleman process?

I've laid out a GENERAL overview of the process for you:


Buyer, Seller and Admin/Middleman join a multi-user chat.
Buyer and Seller confirm the trade agreement with the Admin/Middleman.
Admin/Middleman verifies the Paypal emails of Buyer AND Seller as well as provides the outlines on the trade.
Buyer initiates the trade with Admin/Middleman from the multi-user chat window and gives the items.
Admin/Middleman verifies that he has received the items and informs the Seller to proceed with payment.
Seller confirms money has been received and confirms that Admin/Middleman may give items to Buyer.

5) I got hacked! What can I do? Can the Admin/middleman get back my items?
Report the user that scammed you for violation as mentioned in the guide.
Create a steam support ticket. Hope that steam support takes pity on your plight.
