Like Telltale games, this point and click adventures declares that the choices you make in the game will affect your experience of the game. Unlike Telltale games however, Life Is Strange isn't lying. The choices in this game actually do matter, even if the general narrative is the same, which is much more than can be said about Telltale.

Update 12/27/22:

I bought this game in 2014 in early access and the story mode STILL hasn't been completed yet. Despite this, they've somehow released $20 DLC??

It's been a little over a year since I've bought the game. There's a story mode to be released around 2016 but meanwhile the sandbox is constantly being updated and improved.

Got killed by a wolf in every single playthrough so far. Nice.

It's hilarious if you roleplay. Or have friends to play with.

Not the longest game out there, and there were some predictable parts (at least for me) but holy crap was the ride EPIC. This game was amazing, the story was gripping and the pacing seemed just about right. There were plenty of twists and PLENTY of deaths so no worries about getting bored. My only complaint really is that your choices just don't seem to matter. Say, you choose to save someone during this one part, well, too bad for you because maybe they just might die anyways in the next episode. I don't really consider that spoilers but just don't expect your choices to have a significant impact on the story.
